Attacks aggresively downhill to close space and plays more physical than his 5'11"/160 frame suggests. Highly instinctive zone defender showing great anticipation and route recognition at the second and third levels. Strong, reliable tackler that can wrap up in the open field and make rangy plays towards the sidelines as a single-high safety with his speed and efficient angles of pursuit. Shows great anticipation and natural ball skills as a turnover producer in coverage. The 6'/160 CB showed some promising flashes in 2024 and recently made a strong impression on one of our PRZ California scouts at the 'You are Athlete' camp in December. Carries some raw upside in his length and fluidity in coverage, plays physical at the LOS as a pressed-up corner, and shows great body control adjusting to the ball in flight. He's an instinctive defender that showed his ability to diagnose and anticipate route combinations from the safety, CB, and nickel spots. Still growing into his 6'/170 frame but showed some flashes of athleticism and physicality out on the perimeter as a sophomore. He's quick to react to the flats and a strong tackler in space. Totaled 27 tackles and 3 INTs in 2024. He's on the smaller side at 5'9"/160 but shows some short-area quickness and lateral range making plays on the ball as a middle-field safety. Plays disciplined with his eyes in zone coverage and does a good job of closing inside-out and fitting into the bracket when working downhill from the third level.
