Black’s athleticism allows him to recover quickly, even when initially challenged at the line of scrimmage. As he continues to develop physically, he projects as a high-end cover corner with true lockdown potential.

Kamari Black Kamari Black 6'1" | 170 lbs | DB/ATH Coronado | 2027 NV is a 6’1, long, and athletic cornerback who recently returned to Las Vegas. He impressed as one of the top testers athletically, showing elite speed, agility, and explosiveness. Kamari excelled in man-to-man coverage, consistently staying with receivers and making plays on the ball. His combination of length, fluidity, and technique allowed him to match up with some of the nation’s best wideouts. Kamari’s performance demonstrated he has the tools to be a lockdown defender at the next level.

Black was a major riser in the latest update to the 2027 rankings, rounding out the overall top-20. The #6-DB out of Liberty has made waves on the offseason circuit with some impressive showings at recent camps and 7v7 events. Displays great man-coverage traits in his physicality at the LOS, speed and agility mirroring WRs, and ability to disrupt at the catch-point with his length. Black’s one of Nevada’s top unoffered DBs among a class loaded with talent at the position.

Black has D1 size, speed, length, and instincts that make him an elite prospect. Although Black currently does not hold offers he has gained a lot of attention this off-season in 7s and camps. Look for Black to have continued to dominate at camps and gain a few offers this off-season.

Liberty sophomore- Kamari Black Kamari Black 6'1" | 170 lbs | DB/ATH Coronado | 2027 NV – is flying under the radar coming into this offseason. The 6’/160 CB showed some promising flashes in 2024 and recently made a strong impression on one of our PRZ California scouts at the ‘You are Athlete’ camp in December. Carries some raw upside in his length and fluidity in coverage, plays physical at the LOS as a pressed-up corner, and shows great body control adjusting to the ball in flight. Black’s a promising athlete that should find himself on the D-I radar in the coming seasons.

Black looks bigger than his 160 pound frame suggests and is physical in press man coverage. He was in the hip pocket of receivers all throughout one-on-ones and does a good job of being physical on the ball without potentially drawing flags.
