Uranich originally cracked PRZ NV’s 2027 rankings as a defensive back with his play in the secondary last season but has broken out as an offensive playmaker in his junior year. Green Valley’s leading rusher is averaging 9 YPC for a total of 673 yards and 6 TDs on the season. He’s a smaller, more agile playmaker that’s quick and decisive around the LOS and sees the field well. He provides versatility in his WR ball skills and skillset and makes plays on special teams. Uranich carries major momentum coming off his best performance of the season (277 yards, 2 TDs) heading into Green Valley’s first round matchup against Desert Pines.

The historic “Henderson Bowl” rivalry between Green Valley and Basic came down to the wire with Green Valley winning 42-40. A huge part of the Gators’ offensive explosion was due to their 2027 RB Uranich, who rushed for 84 yards on 12 carries and two TDs. Uranich showed his versatility and pure playmaking ability rushing for 168 yards and a TD on 14 carries in Green Valley’s 21-18 victory over Palo Verde. He also added a punt return TD in the win. Typically a WR/DB, the 5’9″/160 junior flashed impressive speed and elusiveness with the ball in his hands and took full advantage of his first opportunities out of the backfield. He hit the hole hard, showed noticeable burst/acceleration at the second level, and was able to make the first defender miss at the LOS. Uranich, a top-75 prospect in his class, looks to have carved out a new role in the Green Valley offense moving forward.

Uranich was a new addition to the state’s top-50 after showing his versatile playmaking in all three phases as a FS, WR and special teams contributor for Green Valley this season. Totaled 27 tackles and 3 INTs in 2024. He’s on the smaller side at 5’9″/160 but shows some short-area quickness and lateral range making plays on the ball as a middle-field safety. Plays disciplined with his eyes in zone coverage and does a good job of closing inside-out and fitting into the bracket when working downhill from the third level. Uranich will be one of the top returning defenders in Green Valley’s secondary after finishing as the team’s co-leader in INTs last year.
