He's a high caliber athlete at 6'1” 160 lbs. with great coverage instincts and anticipation. Can effectively play both press and off coverage and stay in phase to all three levels of the field. Good technique, footwork, and hand usage to limit wasted movement and maintain positional leverage throughout the play. Like his fluidity when changing directions, shows he can plant and drive coming out of his break with speed and acceleration. Flashes good eye discipline to read the QB and quickly attack different route combinations and concepts. Recruitment has skyrocketed this month with seven new P4 programs offering him and has the ability to be a national recruit when all is said and done.   9 Offers: Oklahoma, Oregon, ASU, UCLA, Purdue, Arizona, Cal, TCU, BYU      Shabazz is one of the top athletes in Northern California and led all 2027 receivers in the state with 1,200 yards and 15 touchdowns helping Grant to a state championship. At 5'9” 155 lbs. he's an explosive athlete with great twitch and all-around game speed. He's a homerun threat every time he touches the ball. Can stretch the field and run by coverage in the vertical passing game or turn short receptions into massive gains with speed and elusiveness in the open field. Flashes great body control and coordination to track/adjust to ball flight with the ability to bring in tough contested receptions in traffic. Versatile skillset allows him to flip field position in the return game or be strong in coverage at DB. Two offers to date but would expect his recruitment on the rise going forward.   2 Offers: Colorado State, Sacramento State      Phelps moves up over 30 spots to number 25 overall and is the second ranked LB after leading the 2027 class in tackles with 174. He's an attacking defender with a long 6'1” 200 lb. frame and a 76.5 inch wingspan. Possesses a great nose for the football and key play diagnosis skills to get an early break and trigger to the ball with speed. Recognizes different schemes and adjusts well to his reads to put himself in the right position at the right time to make a play. Aggressive to the ball carrier, colleges like his burst to close and lateral agility to take efficient angles and pursue with a high motor. Shows he can shed blockers and disengage from contact to free himself up. A sound and fundamental tackler that wraps up and finishes to the ground with strong contact. Also a force on offense rushing for over 800 yards and eight touchdowns in the 2024 season. Another prospect who has rapidly increased his recruiting this contact period with 12 new offers for a total of 15.   15 Offers: Georgia State, North Carolina, UCLA, Sacramento State, NAU, New Mexico, Washington, Stanford, Cal, Minnesota, USC, Tennessee, Southeast Missouri State, ASU, Colorado State      Williams is one of the elite safety prospects in the 2027 class across the country and moves up the state rankings to #21 overall and is the seventh ranked DB in a highly talented class. Plays the deep safety position well consistently demonstrating the ability to affect all aspects of the game in coverage and in run support. He's got great range to gain ground and cover all three depths of the field and sideline to sideline. Plays well with his eyes to process his reads and diagnose run/pass. Plus reactionary quickness to locate his threat and break on the ball. Competes for the ball at the high point with good timing, hands, and leaping ability to disrupt receivers at the catch point. Strong open field tackler that can come downhill to attack a ball carrier and break down in space.
