Notre Dame (Riverside) defensive back Darius Johnson Darius Johnson 6'2" | 160 lbs | DB Notre Dame | 2027 State CA announced his commitment to Michigan on Monday.

Johnson had 29 tackles, two for a loss, a forced fumble, two fumble recoveries and an interception for Murrieta Valley last season and has since transferred to Notre Dame of Riverside.

Cal, Oregon and UCLA were also in Johnson’s final four. Washington and Oklahoma were also in on him and his brother is part of Oklahoma’s 2026 recruiting class.

Johnson is the first player from California in Michigan’s 2027 recruiting class and the third defensive back.

Johnson had 41 tackles and two interceptions as a sophomore for Murrieta Valley last season.

He picked up offers from Kansas and UNLV in April and a major offer from USC in February.
