Williams is one of the elite safety prospects in the 2027 class across the country and moves up the state rankings to #21 overall and is the seventh ranked DB in a highly talented class. Plays the deep safety position well consistently demonstrating the ability to affect all aspects of the game in coverage and in run support. He’s got great range to gain ground and cover all three depths of the field and sideline to sideline. Plays well with his eyes to process his reads and diagnose run/pass. Plus reactionary quickness to locate his threat and break on the ball. Competes for the ball at the high point with good timing, hands, and leaping ability to disrupt receivers at the catch point. Strong open field tackler that can come downhill to attack a ball carrier and break down in space. He’s a national prospect with 18 offers to date with eight of them coming this month and is sure to add more.
18 Offers: Auburn, Utah, North Carolina, Sacramento State, Cal, UConn, UCLA, USC, SDSU, Georgia State, Washington, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Arizona, Charlotte, ASU, Syracuse, UNLV

Williams enters into our initial 2027 rankings as a top 30 overall player in the state, and just outside the top ten within the defensive back room, which is the most loaded position in the entire class. He has a strong build and is well put together for his age and will only continue packing on weight and adding to his frame which could mean he finds his home at the outside linebacker position in college with his growth potential. On tape, he is another kid with elite instincts and ball skills that can jump routes with return abilities, and is a big time hitter when running the alley outside the tackles or filling in the backfield. He has a knack for making big plays whether it be stripping the ball, forcing fumbles or intercepting passes and is a no brainer FBS caliber kid at either strong safety or even outside linebacker. Look for Williams to be one of the best players regardless of position across the region this Fall.

As an eighth-grader grader, Williams is an advanced route-runner. He does a nice job setting up the opposing defensive back with head and hip fakes and is fluid in and out of his breaks. This allows him to quickly gain separation, and get open for fellow 2027 prospect, quarterback Brandon Coronado. He does a great job using his body to shield opposing defenders, fights through traffic well and is a big yard-after-the-catch player who can help move the chains. He certainly has the makings of a big-time player-maker at the next level.
