Damien running back Malachi McFarland Malachi McFarland 5'10" | 175 lbs | RB Damien | 2027 State CA announced his commitment to Boise State on Tuesday.
McFarland ran for 894 yards with 11 touchdowns last season for Damien and had 108 receiving yards with a touchdown.
He also had offers from Cal, Oregon, UCLA and Utah among others. McFarland is the first player from California in Boise State’s 2027 recruiting class and the first running back.

McFarland led Damien in rushing with 894 yards on 108 carries with 11 touchdowns.
He is probably the fastest running back in the San Gabriel Valley and recently ran a 10.45 in the 100 meters. McFarland is a patient runner who is great at exploiting cutback lanes in the zone game and has some wiggle. He is excellent in the open field and can make secondary players miss with a simple cut and throws off their pursuit angles. UCLA and Arizona have offered him recently.
