<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Breaking down the top ten prospects in the updated 2026 state rankings.</h2>   1.[player_tooltip player_id='739440' first='Tait' last='Reynolds'], QB, Queen Creek   The top ranked 2025 prospect in the state is committed to Clemson. He's dual-sport recruit that was committed to Arizona State for baseball prior to his football recruitment exploding last spring. Possesses a well put together 6'4” 210 lb. frame that can attack defenses with both his arm and his legs. Elite level arm talent and accuracy with the ability to make all throws to all areas of the field. Buys time with his pocket movement and is dangerous when he tucks and runs carrying the ball with power and speed.    2. [player_tooltip player_id='992770' first='Hudson' last='Dunn'], LB, Liberty   Dunn moves up several spots to #2 overall. He's a downhill attacking defender with great athleticism and burst to close in pursuit. Excels as an edge rusher in passing situations where can use his speed and quickness to beat blockers off the edge. Great ability to free himself up by disengaging from blockers and redirecting to the ball. Recruitment has been steadily rising with 15 D1 offers to date from many top programs around the country.    3. [player_tooltip player_id='401155' first='Daylen' last='Sharper'], WR, Brophy   Sharper checks in as the top ranked receiver in the 2026 class and #3 overall. Elite level athlete that combines speed, route running, and ball skills to be an explosive receiver. Gains quick separation with clean release moves off the LOS and great acceleration out of his breaks. Attacks the ball at the high point and uses his 6'4” 205 lb. frame to create positional leverage. 15 Offers to date and should see more high level programs come in this offseason.    4. [player_tooltip player_id='401157' first='Devin' last='Fitzgerald'], WR, Brophy   Son of former NFL WR Larry Fitzgerald, he's got great natural ability and size at 6'2” 195 lbs. He's a physical receiver that can attack all three levels of the field with high level route running and creativity to separate from defenders. Elite ball skills at the catch point, he times out his jump and possesses a large radius that extends outside his framework. Accelerates hard off the LOS and has the downfield speed to stretch the field vertically. Holds 18 D1 offers and has great skillset that will see him become a national recruit among top tier programs.    5. [player_tooltip player_id='402797' first='Rico' last='Blassingame'], WR, Tolleson   A dynamic WR with exceptional playmaking ability. Possesses a long 6'3” 180 lb. frame with a +6 inch wingspan and good growth potential to add weight without sacrificing his speed and athleticism. A natural hands catcher of the football that has great ball judgement skills and tracking ability. Shows he can work through contact or over the top of defenders to play the ball in the air. 16 offers to date and is the fifth ranked 2026 prospect in the state.    6. [player_tooltip player_id='401149' first='Bastian' last='Vanden Bosch'], LB, Brophy   <ol class="wp-block-list"> <li></li> </ol>   A throw back defender that has a great nose for the football. Plays with an edge and brings toughness to the Brophy defense. Chases hard in pursuit and shows he can play in space to be effective against both the run and pass. Processes his reads quickly and can diagnose run/pass as the play develops with good eye discipline. The sixth ranked overall prospect in the 2026 class with 10 D1 offers.    7. [player_tooltip player_id='401165' first='Jalayne' last='Miller'], OL, Desert Edge   Miller holds his spot at the top of the offensive lineman rankings. At 6'6” 320 lbs. he checks all the boxes as a major D1 prospect with his combination of size, length, and athleticism. He's a natural bender that can move his feet and work laterally to get to the spot and be highly effective blocking in space. Powerful at the contact point, he drives through contact and brings his hips to finish opponents to the ground with aggression. Six offers thus far but expect his recruiting to see a big bump entering his senior season.    8. [player_tooltip player_id='1177565' first='Cam' last='Hamiel'], DB, Desert Edge   Hamiel debuts in the 2026 top 10 jumping seven overall spots and landing as the top ranked DB in the class. He's natural cover corner with great transitional speed to plant and drive on the ball. High level anticipation skills to get an early break and make plays at the catch point. Quick in the hips, he's fluid with his movement and has the change of direction to mirror receivers while staying in phase at all three levels. Has collected eight offers but is another guy that should see a bump in recruitment this offseason.    9. [player_tooltip player_id='739441' first='Zeth' last='Thues'], DB, Liberty   Thues is in an instinctual defender that uses his instincts and anticipation to put himself position to make an impact. Good game speed and reactionary quickness to be rangy in the secondary and play the whole field. Plus short area burst to close space and recover with the ball in the air. Comes hard downhill in run support bringing strong contact with good leverage and pad level with the ability to break down in space. Committed to Arizona State in November over 12 other offers.    10. [player_tooltip player_id='739442' first='Jaylyn' last='Colter'], LB, Mountain Pointe   Colter is an active and violent defender at 6'2” 195 lbs. He's a high effort player that flies around making plays sideline to sideline. High football IQ with good eye discipline to trigger to the ball as the play develops. Quick to locate the ball carrier, he's efficient with his movement to limit wasted steps and take good angles in pursuit. Has three down ability with his instincts as a run stopper and can drop back in coverage to step into throwing lanes and play the ball. Six offers to date.
