2025 Fairmont Senior ATH [player_tooltip player_id='1228132' first='Logan' last='Canfield'] had a great senior season for the Polar Bears and showcased exactly why we ranked him as an ATH prospect. Canfield was key on both sides of the ball throughout the season whose role changed as the year went on. He was having a very good season at linebacker while getting some run on offense but was forced into action at quarterback late in the year and in the playoffs when [player_tooltip player_id='450993' first='Brody' last='Whitehair'] went down with an injury. While he's a much different QB than Whitehair, Canfield still led the offense successfully to the Class AAA semifinals and fits the term "football player" perfectly. We see his fit at the next level as a LB/S hybrid depending on how his body develops or could play in the slot on offense.

Another 2025 prospect who fits the ATH label perfectly is Bridgeport's [player_tooltip player_id='1306624' first='Jack' last='Spatafore']. He orchestrated the Indians' prolific single-wing offense as their defacto quarterback passing for 750 yards and 6 touchdowns in the rare instances they threw the ball. Spatatfore was very efficient in the running game too with 500 yards and 18 touchdowns scoring on every 2.7 touches. His play on defense though leads us to believe he could play safety at a high level in college with 5 interceptions and 12 pass breakups on that side of the ball. Spatafore is a versatile athlete with quality size that D2 programs need to get in on as he posted football film for the first time this year.

A small school player who has quietly been very good in Class A has been Mount View ATH [player_tooltip player_id='909081' first='Jaron' last='Hale']. He likely best translates as a defensive back at the next level but opened eyes on offense this season for the Golden Knights as a RB and WR. Hale is an explosive athlete with good burst and quickness, which was apparent at the small school level. He was often playing at a different speed than everyone else on the field showcasing some real playmaking ability on offense. Size may keep him at the D3 level where Waynesburg has offered, but Hale could end up being a steal in the future for a college program after some time spent developing.

Another good D3 ATH prospect to check in on is Philip Barbour's [player_tooltip player_id='877123' first='Braylyn' last='Edwards'] who stepped in as QB1 this season for most of the year. Edwards made some nice plays at times behind center but linebacker may be his future in college while not playing on defense this season. He has quality athleticism that can make you picture him playing MLB in college after he bulks up some more and is a spot he could eventually settle in nicely at. Waynesburg has also offered Edwards a spot on the team and is an athlete to watch outplay his ranking in the future in college.

Another small school ATH prospect to check out for small colleges or Sprint teams is Webster County's [player_tooltip player_id='907611' first='Isaac' last='Snyder']. He's operated behind center for multiple years now but likely best translates as a WR or DB at the next level. Snyder has good length for both spots and has shown to have the athleticism to play them. He totaled over 700 yards of offense and 6 touchdowns this season for the Highlanders as a senior in their run-heavy offense. Snyder also saw reps as a receiver at times this season further showing his versatility.

Mingo Central's [player_tooltip player_id='1316844' first='Jaxon' last='Mills'] is another quarterback who was tabbed the ATH label and could move around in college. Mills came over from Tug Valley for his senior season and this was the first time we've gotten film of his play. He's a lefty passer who may not have had the season he aspired for, but Mills could likely slide over to receiver or even play some LB/DB in college depending on how much his body changes at the next level. His ability to move in the pocket and roll out proves he has the athleticism to be versatile positionally, but we just don't have any film of it to say for certain. Still, a D3 program could take a flyer on Mills and experiment with where he plays.

Finishing with the trend of small school quarterbacks who were ranked as ATHs is Meadow Bridge's [player_tooltip player_id='1316846' first='Braydon' last='Thomas']. Thomas is another D3/Sprint prospect who can move around positionally and safety is likely his best spot if he plays at the next level. The Wildcats relied heavily on Top 150 2026 RB [player_tooltip player_id='894721' first='Kaiden' last='Sims'] this season, but Thomas was the second-leading rusher on the team and posted 46 tackles and an interception on defense. Thomas showed he could get loose more this season from his quarterback spot and made some plays in coverage. He's very undersized, but if you can maximize his smaller frame he could develop into a potential small college athlete.
