Only eight teams remain in Division 2. Last week's district championships had a ton of blowouts, and only two games ended in a one-possession difference. With that, we had plenty of standout performances from the winners. Today, I'll be going over five lights-out performances from last week's district finals winners.

I watched Landon in Byron Center's in-season matchup against Mona Shores, and he did not have the best game. Back against the wall in very hostile territory against a super difficult opponent, Landon played lights-out.

Take a look at his District Finals Highlights. His first two highlights show great on-time passing to his receiver. The rest of his tape shows much of the same, alongside a couple of great instances of play action + rollouts. At 0:55, Landon showed off impressive pocket presence, spinning away from two defenders at the last moment.

These are some of the best highlights I've seen from Landon. There's zero doubt in my mind that he's improved as the season progressed. Keep playing like this, and he just might earn a GLIAC offer.

Either way, I've got Byron Center winning Regionals and Semis to get to the State Championship. A lot of my confidence comes from Landon playing the best football of his career.

Ethan was a monster on the defensive line. Midland tried to move him, tried to make space for their run game, but Ethan consistently plugged it up.

Just look at his highlights. From the jump, it's obvious that Midland absolutely could not move Ethan. In his first highlight, Midland's tackle attempts to block Ethan, but he just holds strong and makes the RB run right into him. The second highlight shows something similar; a poor block from the tackle leading to a well-timed spin move and inside run stop from Ethan.

The back half of his District Final tape shows Ethan doing what he does best at his primary position (Offensive Tackle). There, Ethan consistently stonewalled & pancaked some of the same players who tried to block him on the other side of the football. Amazing stuff from Ethan!

Man! I rarely, if ever, see this high-quality of single-game highlights from a DB.

Darryle came to play against Dexter. His first highlight shows an incredible interception. At first, Darryle defends what looks like a 5-yard hitch before reading the QBs eyes and attacking a 10-yard corner just behind him. Darryle reacted quickly enough to barely get a hand on the football, then caught his own tip and returned the interception all the way to midfield. Seriously, one of the best highlights I've seen from a High School DB right off rip.

His second highlight shows a really nice outside run stop, followed by 40-yard bomb that he caught, showing really nice ball tracking & concentration.

The remainder of his tape showed off a couple more coverage plays, tackles, and another reception. All in all, a tremendous game for Darryle. Grand Valley is lucky to have Darryle committed!

Bryson made the Farmington defense look like a bunch of pee-wee players. The first and second highlights show what I'm talking about.

I'm not sure of the context in the first play, but Bryson seems to have caught a short pass and then burned 5 defenders on his way to the endzone. In the next highlight, Bryson returned a punt 55-yards for a touchdown. During the return, he executed a brutal stiff-arm then turned on the jets, again outrunning several defenders on his way to the endzone.

Flat-out elite athleticism, elite open-field abilities, excellent speed-in-space target, and without a doubt, a top-10 player in the class of 2025. I am very confident that Bryson is on his way toward a great collegiate career at Michigan State!

[player_tooltip player_id='899621' first='Chris' last='Little'] and the Groves offense flat-out dominated the Seaholm defense for the second time this season.

His first highlight showcases one of the best catches I've ever seen from a High School Football player. Sprinting toward the sideline, ball above his head, Chris has the focus and skill to snatch that ball out of the air while still getting a foot down.

The rest of his offensive highlights show more of that near-elite athleticism. Several instances of great release and immediate wins against press coverage. Great hands. Great route-running. Instances of good contact balance. Chris is a really, really great athlete who has a chance to help lead Groves to Ford Field this season. On top of that, I think he's on track to have an amazing college football career at the D2 level.
