Geter vs. Lee is going to be an awesome matchup to watch play out.
A few weeks ago, against Dexter, Darryle proved he can be a clutch player. Against an average QB, Darryle was able to explode toward lightly thrown balls and force a PBU or interception. Byron Center passes the ball a good amount, and they throw the ball to their WR1 a handful of times per game. Darryle has a chance to make a major impact in the passing game.
Byron Center also has a good run and speed-in-space game. Against outside runs and screen passes, Darryle will need to shed blocks, work downhill, and tackle.
Darryle is about to face the best fundamental offense he’s seen all season. Let’s see if he can force some critical mistakes!

Man! I rarely, if ever, see this high-quality of single-game highlights from a DB.
Darryle came to play against Dexter. His first highlight shows an incredible interception. At first, Darryle defends what looks like a 5-yard hitch before reading the QBs eyes and attacking a 10-yard corner just behind him. Darryle reacted quickly enough to barely get a hand on the football, then caught his own tip and returned the interception all the way to midfield. Seriously, one of the best highlights I’ve seen from a High School DB right off rip.
His second highlight shows a really nice outside run stop, followed by 40-yard bomb that he caught, showing really nice ball tracking & concentration.
The remainder of his tape showed off a couple more coverage plays, tackles, and another reception. All in all, a tremendous game for Darryle. Grand Valley is lucky to have Darryle committed!

Darylle is someone I’ve talked about quite a bit as of late.
All you need to know- Darylle is an awesome man-to-man corner. I’ve seen him run press, I’ve seen him defend every route, and I’m confident that he’s one of the more polished DBs in this class. I’d like to see him secure a few more interceptions, but he should develop that skill in college. Heading into this season, Darylle is one of if not the best defensive back in Mid-Michigan.
If any DB has a chance to impress early at GVSU, it’s Darylle!

This Grand Valley State commit is going to be a fun athlete to follow this fall. He’s as talented as they come, sporting great closing speed, great football IQ and the skillset to play the ball. Darylle has been flying up our board here at Prep Redzone for quite awhile, and I think he will be a force this fall for East Lansing.
