[player_tooltip player_id='641133' first='Chase' last='Thompson'] (Alexandria) 2025. 6'7, 210 lbs. - I feel honored that I got to see the Clemson basketball commit in his last game of football. Thompson throws a perfect deep ball, and owns a quick release and good decision making. He is great at scrambling, is instinctive through pressure and knows when to climb the pocket, and is elusive and can extend plays while keeping his eyes downfield. I also liked his awareness and game experience, as he did a good job of not throwing the ball into bad situations and knows when to throw the ball away. So much arm talent and athleticism. It's been a pleasure, Chase!

[player_tooltip player_id='1567968' first='Grant' last='Freking'] (Jackson County Central) 2025. 6'5, 175 lbs. - Huge showing from the senior gunslinger, whose rise to the QB1 spot has been well-documented on PRzMN as of late. Freking went 8-12 for 212 yards and 3 TDs to 1 INT in the 2A Prep Bowl, showing up in clutch situations for his Huskies thanks to his big-time arm. Freking threw a couple deep shots that were on the money and took the top off the Cardinals defense all day long. Also had some good reps as a defensive back, making tough tackles 1v1 and even notching a TFL on a stretch play by the Cards. Huskies couldn't have won state without him.

[player_tooltip player_id='591990' first='Caleb' last='Francois'] (Minnetonka) 2026. 6'1, 190 lbs. - Heckuva year for the junior Skipper who capped his junior season off with a bang. Francois was once again exceptionally physical as a ball carrier. Francois bowled over some high-profile and talented Maple Grove LBs throughout the night and looking downright scary when he's running downhill with a full head of steam. The burst, contact balance, and power behind his pads was fun to watch once again. Francois was also throwing some dimes on Friday night, especially on his deep balls, and was throwing with a tight spiral and noticeable zip and accuracy to all three levels of the field. Almost pulled of the comeback of the ages behind Francois' talent.

Vincent Wellik (Stewartville) 2026. - Game manager who was cool under pressure, accurate, able to keep his offense churning by hitting both the routine and the challenging throws, and put his WRs in positions to succeed. Repped some good ball placement throughout the Class AAA Prep Bowl.

[player_tooltip player_id='923833' first='Levi' last='Harris'] (Elk River) 2026. 5'11, 170 lbs. - Track speed come to life! Harris was so sudden and smooth when changing direction, and was a splash play waiting to happen thanks to his top-end explosiveness. Harris was electric, could force missed tackles in a phone booth, and posted an INT as a defensive back, as well as some crunching hits from his DB spot.

[player_tooltip player_id='1371692' first='Jamin' last='Metzger'] (Hills-Beaver Creek) 2026. 6'5, 200 lbs. - Another strong showing from the darkhorse QB prospect in the 2026 class. Metzger had good reps of him extending plays and throwing with accuracy off-platform, and he was called upon to use his big frame and strong lower body to pick up tough yardage and key first downs for his offense in the run game. He was accurate throughout the day and had a good showing in the biggest game of his career.

[player_tooltip player_id='1633417' first='Parker' last='Kuehn'] (Springfield) 2027. 6', 160 lbs. - Good showing from the sophomore QB despite the tough loss to Minneota. Facing a relentless Vikings pass rush, Kuehn was poised under duress and under pressure, showing an instinctive ability to climb the pocket and evade rushers, as well as break out to the sideline and throw with accuracy on the move. He's tough, has a quick release and clean mechanics, and was able to fit the ball into tight windows through a stingy Vikings secondary. The anticipation and velocity led to an especially impressive dime between Cover 2 defenders that stands out in mind post-Prep Bowl.

Easton Petry (Fertile-Beltrami) 2025. 5'10, 225 lbs. - A thick, powerful QB, Petry evaded some big-time rushes from the Patriots maniacal DL, as well as SDSU commit Bakken, and had some good reps of zip, velocity, and ball placement throughout the 9Man Prep Bowl.

[player_tooltip player_id='1582797' first='Cole' last='Veith'] (Dassel-Cokato) 2025. 5'10, 180 lbs. - The lynchpin of the Chargers' veer-option attack, Veith reads defenses so smoothly and so effectively, making the right decisions and playing with ball security. He got hurt midway through the second quarter and came back on after a play in a legit display of toughness. Also shows great burst and vision as a ball carrier and has the speed to take the edge on a defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='1145278' first='Ryan' last='Meagher'] (Minneota) 2025. 5'10, 210 lbs. - The MVP of the state semifinals and Prep Bowl, Meagher had a record-breaking day on the ground, rushing 22 times for 290 yards and 6 TDs, setting a new Prep Bowl record for rushing TDs in the process. Meagher was the best player on the field and frankly unstoppable. With a great build for the position and carrying a naturally low pad level, Meagher is one of the strongest ball carriers I've seen through contact in the last decade. His powerful lower body, big-time burst, top-end speed, vision, and lateral agility were a devastating combination that made TDs and splash runs too easy, and Meagher had a couple reps of absolute physical dominance. He hit a couple particularly mean jump cuts, stiff-arms, and truck sticks throughout the day that left your mouth agape, as well as some crushing blocks to boot. One of the most dominating running backs in MN high school history went out with a bang.

[player_tooltip player_id='1162022' first='Chase' last='Conrad'] (Minnetonka) 2025. 6', 200 lbs. - This was the best I've seen the Skippers RB look in the four times I've seen him in 2024. The vision and patience, combined with his strength and pad level, were quite the combination. Conrad was running like his life depended on it and did a great job of finding and capitalizing on space as it was given. Showed an effective jump cut, but was generally working downhill with aggression, showing off burst, sudden COD ability, slipperiness through tackle attempts, and the strength to easily run through arm tackles.

[player_tooltip player_id='1192021' first='Charles' last='Langama'] (Maple Grove) 2025. 5'9, 205 lbs. - Langama wasn't playing at 100% but was still the best player on the field in the 6A Prep Bowl. Explosive burst, twitched-up COD ability and cuts, and did a great job of using his vision, patience, and suddenness to not hint at where or when he'd be cutting to. He put a couple of absolutely hair-raising, get-on-your-feet moves and cuts on would-be tacklers, putting strong Tonka defenders on skates and embarrassing them in high school football's biggest stage. Langama is and was once again, unreal.

[player_tooltip player_id='1420595' first='Dylan' last='Scanlan'] (Stewartville) 2025. 5'8, 160 lbs. - What a sendoff by the senior tailback! Scanlan was a big play machine on Saturday, with consistent production in the run game and great burst. Scored a couple of TDs for his efforts and was a fun combination of speed and explosiveness combined with strength and the ability to pick up tough yardage. Loved the vision too.

[player_tooltip player_id='348733' first='Brecken' last='Keoraj'] (Elk River) 2025. 5'7, 155 lbs. - Uncommitted dynamo Keoraj was slippery to say the least, and was tough to locate for Alex's defense behind their massive OL. He was explosive, owned good contact balance, and was comfortable sifting through traffic out in space. He's so strong for his size and is a good tackler to boot.

Landen Kujawa (Becker) 2025. 5'11, 170 lbs. - The Mr. Football Finalist had a good day on both sides of the ball but I liked what he did as a RB in terms of the 2024 All-Prep Bowl Team. Kujawa is very strong for his size, with excellent balance and a toolkit of tackle breaking ability filled with strength, quickness, and power. Broke a ton of tackles throughout the day, was a patient and allowed plays to develop before exploding through the hole, and also had an impressive goal-line stick as a LB for good measure.

[player_tooltip player_id='1582808' first='Gavin' last='Vanderwerf'] (Springfield) 2025. 5'11, 210 lbs. - Rocking a neck roll and no gloves, Vanderwerf was a throwback of a ball carrier who was a noticeably strong ball carrier North-South and could bowl over defenders without losing a step of momentum. Vanderwerf had an impressive 4th and 1 pickup later in the ball game showing his metal and makeup.

Destin Fier (Minneota) 2026. 5'8, 155 lbs. - Smooth in space and popped off some explosive runs and gains throughout the day. Also a physical and effective lead blocker who had some key blocks to open holes for Meagher & company throughout the ball game.

Isaac Daluge (Becker) 2025. 5'11, 160 lbs. - Solid showing from the uncommitted senior. A two-way contributor as a RB/DB, Daluge was especially impressive on the offensive side of the ball, showing consistent contact balance, the strength and ability to pinball off of tackle attempts, and power when he ran behind his pads. The kid packed a punch!

Syl Berg (Totino-Grace) 2025. 5'7, 195 lbs. - Came in the second half of the 4A Prep Bowl and injected some much-needed life in a stunted Eagles offense. Powerful lower body, burst, and his consistency in fighting for extra yardage popped off some solid gains against a stingy Becker defense in prime time.

Benjamin Tyrrell (Staples-Motley) 2025. 5'8, 165 lbs. - Strong showing in the 2nd half of the CLass AA Prep Bowl.

[player_tooltip player_id='234881' first='Parker' last='Wangen'] (Stewartville) 2025. 6'4, 200 lbs. - Hard to believe Wangen isn't a D1 commit. MSU-Mankato landed a MONSTER out of Stewie, that's forsure. Wangen was all over the field as a wide receiver, defensive back, and even kicker. Wangen posted a forced fumble, caught a TD, ran in a TD, picked off an INT, kicked a FG, and even threw a 2pt conversion for good measure! Contested catch and 50/50 ball ability, smooth route runner, and did a great job of keeping pursuit leverage and tackling 1v1 out on the edge. Wangen was a smooth route runner with big-play explosiveness after the catch, just like always!

[player_tooltip player_id='1160949' first='Ben' last='Dahlin'] (Jackson County Central) 2025. 5'11, 165 lbs. - One of the most explosive players of the entire Prep Bowl, Dahlin caught 5 passes for 166 yards and 2 TDs for an impressive 33 YPC average. His long speed and quickness at the top of the route created some noticeable separation throughout the day. Was WIDE open on a deep post for a TD and also had a crazy contested catch where he high-pointed the ball right on top of two DBs before landing on his feet, maintaining control, and continuing forward to get in the endzone.

Brayden Sturm (Springfield) 2025. 6', 175 lbs. - The playmaker and splash play weapon of the Tigers offense, Sturm opened the Class A semifinal with an exquisite high-point, fully-extended snag right over the heads of two defenders in a beautiful display of bounce, body control, and ball skill. Sturm was a beast in contested catch situations all night long, tracked and played the deep ball well, and showed burst out of his breaks and a consistent ability to separate at the top of the route. Sturm also threw out a couple solid hits and good tackles on Minneota's stud QB Meagher throughout the night as well, earning a nod on the All-Prep Bowl defensive team as a defensive back as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='945334' first='Mason' last='Gorghuber'] (Alexandria) 2025. 6', 200 lbs. - Scored a couple of TDs through the air and showed off contested catch + 50/50 ability, as well as a huge catch radius and body control in the air. He was also a tough kid who could finish receptions through contact and created noticeable separation as a route runner.

Carter Reckelberg (Becker) 2025. 5'11, 165 lbs. - Owning some real-deal track times in the 100M and 200M, Reckelberg showed off that explosive track speed in the 4A Prep Bowl, popping off one of the most impressive plays of the entire weekend in an electric TD catch & run where he caught the rock, hit the sideline, broke a tackle or two, and then cut back across the grain, fully sprinting the width of the field while leaving two Totino-Grace Eagles fimly in the dust and with their ankles tender wondering how the WR just torched them so easily. Reckelberg was explosive, showed off great vision, and even had an impressive PBU in the ball game on the defensive side of the ball. Talk about track speed!

James VandenBosch (Hills-Beaver Creek) 2025. 6'1, 190 lbs. - Vandenbosch no doubt had the touchdown of the weekend, going absolute beast mode after catching a perfectly-placed ball between two DBs, running his feet, shrugging one would-be tackler off him like it was his little brother, then carrying the second defender 5+ yards and over the endzone line in an excellent display of raw power and determination. It was nuts. VandenBosch also was a deep threat who did a good job of sitting down and getting open in zone coverage and catching throws in traffic.

Third Team:

Jayce Klug (Stewartville) 2025. - Big showing in Stewie's biggest game of the season for the senior. Klug was long, using his long legs to step and slip through tackle attempts, and he was a good route runner who was fast after the catch. His game awareness also stood out.

Mason Witt (Alexandria) 2025. 6', 165 lbs. - A deep threat who scored on an 80-yard bomb for a TD, Witt was a darkhorse top performer for the Cards offense in the 5A Prep Bowl.

[player_tooltip player_id='1537794' first='Lars' last='Salmen'] (Dassel-Cokato) 2025. Fullback. 6'3, 300 lbs. - The most athletic big man of the Prep Bowl was also its most unique prospect. 6'3, 300 lb. fullback Salmen once again had a good showing under the bright lights of win-or-go-home football, both as a fullback and as a nose tackle. Salmen is a walking guaranteed 5 yards per carry, dragging DL, LBs, and DBs alike. He moves so well at 300 lbs. that you'd think it was an aberration, able to swipe across the LOS, kick out, lead block, and find work in space just as easy as down-blocking a defensive lineman at the LOS. Salmen is a freight train of a blocker and also had some reps clogging up holes and reeling in RBs around the LOS.

[player_tooltip player_id='1204068' first='Caleb' last='Bancroft'] (Stewartville) 2025. Tight End. 6'7, 240 lbs. - The UMD-bound senior had a good day as both a TE and DE. Bancroft was able to seal the edge with ease and used his long arms to his advantage as a blocker. Good hands as a pass catcher and was able to get upfield with pace thanks to those long legs. Big athlete with a big-time frame is always a fun combination.

Jonah Harstad (Fertile-Beltrami) 2025. Fullback. 5'10, 190 lbs. - Great showing on both sides of the ball as a FB and LB from Harstad, one of the key players of the Falcons' 9man state title on Saturday. He was a tough ball carrier who pumped his legs for extra yardage, and scored two TDs on the evening thanks to that power and goal-line prowess. Harstad also takes good angles to the football, can tackle in space well, shoots gaps around the LOS for big plays in the backfield, and uses good leverage to beat blocking attempts. He did all of the dirty work for his Falcons and was rewarded for it.

Cody Klatt (Becker) 2025. Fullback. 6'1, 220 lbs. - One of the best built prospects on a loaded Becker Bulldogs roster, Klatt was a two-way contributor was an EDGE/fullback and had some good reps where he carried dog piles for extra yardage and opened up some huge holes for his fellow running backs. Also had some solid reps disrupting off the edge of the defensive line, holding his gap, and sticking his head into the action.

Drew Gullickson (Fertile-Beltrami) 2026. 6'6, 185 lbs. - Great frame and a strong hoops background, which was noticeable both in Gullickson's build as well as his skillset. Quick and balanced, Gullickson was also strong at the point of attack and used his length and tenacity to win 1v1 assignments around the LOS. His length was overwhelming, and he did a great job of sealing the edge and using interior hand placement and physicality to open holes for his RBs.

[player_tooltip player_id='1118428' first='Charlie' last='Olson'] (Elk River) 2025. 6'3, 245 lbs. Tight End. - Mauler in run blocking and was a nonstop workhorse at opening up holes around the LOS for his RBs.

[player_tooltip player_id='938335' first='Nick' last='Montik'] (Elk River) 2025. 6'5, 250 lbs. Tight End. - Massive, bruising TE with great body control in space at 6'5, 250 lbs. Opened some big holes for his RBs and was equally effective at the LOS as he was in space. Can't believe someone hasn't signed this kid yet!

[player_tooltip player_id='1255125' first='Weston' last='Rowe'] (Jackson County Central) 2026. 6'7, 280 lbs. - One of the top talents of the Prep Bowl, Rowe was a road grader with impressive flexibility and mobility who was dominant under the high-pressure lights of the Prep Bowl. Climbs to the second level well and had a couple impressive pulls and crushing blocks that opened up gaps for his RB. Physically dominant and a versatile blocker for the now-state champion Huskies.

[player_tooltip player_id='1602687' first='Aiden' last='Zapzalka'] (Minnetonka) 2026. 6', 270 lbs. - The Skippers offensive center had a helluva showing in the 2024 Prep Bowl. A quick puller with excellent feet and balance, Zapzalka could climb to the second level with ease and did a great job sealing the edge for his RB and QB throughout the night. Extremely mobile, Zapzalka showed great pad level, was a strong finisher, and was a strong kid with a good punch at the point of attack. Heckuva year for the offensive center and the entire Minnetonka OL.

Kingston Hamblin (Minnetonka) 2026. 6'4, 285 lbs. - Love watching this kid put in work on Friday night. The strength, versatility, balance, and athleticism were more than apparent in how often and how different Hamblin was used against a loaded MG front-seven. Could change direction and breakdown in space easily and smoothly, and was strong, worked to finish, and good in pass pro as well. Hamblin is the real deal!

[player_tooltip player_id='1255885' first='Matthew' last='Perusse'] (Maple Grove) 2026. 6'4, 250 lbs. - The Crimson's left tackle was fantastic in the 6A Prep Bowl on Friday night. Perusse was playing his tail off, opening holes as a puller, climbing to the second level and cutting off/demolishing LBs, and stonewalling defenders when he locks out and extends his arms. Great in pass pro, noticeable balance and foot speed, and owns a great base. Tons of strength at the point of attack as well. Perusse should be a popular name on this offseason's recruiting trail.

[player_tooltip player_id='1582792' first='Jack' last='Moser'] (Hills-Beaver Creek) 2025. 6'5, 260 lbs. - One of the most impressive OL of the entire Prep Bowl, regardless of class or age. Moser was used in a variety of ways in the 9Man championship, and was finding work out in space and running full-tilt around the second and third level of the field so often and so well that you'd think he was a skill player. Well, Moser sure was skilled, and the 6'5, 260 lber.'s quickness off the ball and out of his stance, lateral agility, and body control in space really caught the eye and impressed on Saturday morning. Moser was a brutally effective puller, able to wrap and work around the LOS with ease, as well as hitting reach blocks, easily working to the second level, and locking down a rusher in pass pro. Easily one of the most athletic linemen we saw on the weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id='1489428' first='Evan' last='Zabel'] (Alexandria) 2025. 6'4, 265 lbs. - Standout on both sides of the ball who showed an especially strong pass set and was comfortable keeping his feet active and dropping his hips. He was a fired up, locked in competitor who was tough at the contact point also created penetration from his DL spot as well.

Jack Leiser (Fertile-Beltrami) 2025. 5'11, 235 lbs. - Standout on both sides of the LOS for the Falcons. One of the best pullers of the weekend who was noticeably effective out in space, Leiser was fast and physical, and he was strong in pass pro with good feet and a strong anchor. Leiser also had multiple big-time TFLs throughout the evening and was laterally quick, used good hand usage to beat blocks, and consistently created penetration from his iDL spot. Had some clutch TFLs for huge losses and was all over the field on Friday morning.
