Here are some of the most interesting matchups of the playoffs so far: </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Middleton vs Coeur d'Alene</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Teams that don't see each other very often in competition Middleton takes on state runner up Coeur d'Alene. Middleton has defeated some powers to get to the spot in the playoffs with a big win versus Mountain View in the SIC crossover and then taking down Highland the defending state champion. The Vikings started the year with a big win versus Rigby and Shadow Ridge but then faltered to 5A Lewiston then won the next two to fall again to Camas. From then on they were dominant on their way to a number one seed. They have only two loses on the season with one being to Post Falls by one point who is in the 6A state playoffs and the other being a team from Montana. Vallivue is a different team under new coach Shea McClellin who has added a new toughness to this team. Kimberly lost a close game to Fruitland 32-28 and now the conference champions are hosting the rematch. Fruitland has been a really good team all season long and plays in one of the toughest conferences in state and especially in the 4A ranks.
