As we begin the month of November, another regular season of high school football in the state of Kentucky has come and gone. With that being said, I wanted to acknowledge some of the top performers in each class before we head into the playoffs this weekend. Over the next week, I will be releasing my 2024 Regular Season All-State teams in each class. After already covering classes 6A and 5A, I will now turn my attention to class 4A, starting with the offensive side of the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='735547' first='Jack' last='James'] has continued to prove that he is one of the top quarterbacks and overall players in the state this season. James finished the regular season as the statewide leader (all classes) in passing, completing 230/336 passes for 3,054 yards, 43 touchdowns, and seven interceptions in 10 games. Jack has a cannon for an arm which he uses to lead his receivers down the field in the deep passing game. He also puts a nice amount of touch on his passes, placing the ball where only his intended receiver can catch it. James also finished the regular season with 41 carries for 113 yards and five touchdowns. Jack is committed to Troy where I can see him being their quarterback of the future.

[player_tooltip player_id='1489400' first='Cavalli' last='Pittman'] has truly bust onto the scene this season with a very impressive junior year. Pittman finished the regular season as the statewide leader (all classes) in rushing, carrying the ball 244 times for 2,600 yards and 33 times in 10 games. He has very explosive speed which he uses to hit the running lane with a sense of urgency then run away from the defense on long runs. When defenders are able to catch up to him, he has shown the strength and contact balance to break tackles without losing stride. Pittman doesn't currently hold any offers but he is a player who college coaches should definitely have their eyes on.

[player_tooltip player_id='662334' first='DeVuan' last='Jones'] is another player who has caught my attention this season. He finished the regular season as the leading receiver in 5A, catching 45 passes for 1,053 yards and 17 touchdowns in seven games. Jones is dangerous in the open field with the ball in his hands, showing the speed and elusiveness to turn short passes/screens into big plays at any given moment. He is also very reliable in contested/jump ball situations, showing the athletic ability to out jump most defensive backs to catch the ball at its highest point. DeVuan has also returned one kickoff for a touchdown this season. Jones currently holds offers from UAB, Lincoln University, and Kentucky State, and I wouldn't be surprised to see more come his way as he has the talent to play at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='1049425' first='Gray' last='Schmittel'] is a wide receiver who has been on my radar for a while now and has continued to impress this season. He finished the regular season with 61 receptions for 764 yards and 13 touchdowns in 10 games. Schmittel has explosive speed which he uses to blow by opposing defensive backs in the deep passing game. He is also a skilled route runner, using smooth breaks in his routes to create separation. Gray has also thrown one passing touchdown and has made an impact on defense this season, accounting for 11 tackles, one tackle for loss, and four interceptions. Schmittel currently holds an offer from DePauw and I expect more to come his way as he has the talent to play at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='283976' first='Luke' last='Tompkins'] is another North Oldham wide receiver who has stood out to me this season. He finished the regular season with 42 receptions for 733 yards and 11 touchdowns in 10 games. Tompkins has impressive speed which he uses to pose as a deep threat and to pick up yards after the catch. He is also a very good route runner, showing the ability to create separation and find openings in the secondary. Tompkins has also scored three rushing touchdowns this season and has made an impact on defense, finishing the regular season with 33 tackles and four interceptions. Luke doesn't currently hold any offers but he should be a player to continue to keep an eye on.

[player_tooltip player_id='373790' first='Montavin' last='Quisenberry'] has continued to prove that he is one of the best players in the state this season. He is an electric playmaker on offense that does a little bit of everything for the Rebels. Once the ball is in his hands, he's shown the ability to use his elite speed and elusiveness in the open field to break away for a big play at any given moment. He finished the regular season with a team-high 42 receptions for 673 yards and 11 touchdowns while also running the ball 56 times for 584 yards and 10 touchdowns in 10 games. Montavin has also thrown two touchdown passes, returned one punt for a touchdown, and has made an impact on defense, finishing the regular season with 28 tackles and three interceptions. Quisenberry is committed to Kentucky where I can see him developing into a key playmaker in their offense.

[player_tooltip player_id='1200686' first='Seneca' last='Driver'] is another member of the high-powered Boyle County offense who has stood out this season. Driver has played a key role in the passing game, catching 18 passes for 215 yards and four touchdowns in 10 games. Seneca has shown the speed to serve as a true vertical threat. He has also shown reliable hands in the red zone as well as the ability to get up the field after the catch to pick up extra yards. Driver has also made an impact on defense at defensive end, finishing the regular season with 25 tackles, four tackles for loss, and two sacks. Seneca currently holds 10 Power 4/Division I offers and I expect more to come his way as he is a high-caliber tight end prospect with two seasons after this one to continue to develop.

Strickland lines up at left tackler where he is a dominant run blocker. He is very impressive in the open field, showing the ability to get to the second level quickly and pick up blocks then use his physical punch to finish blocks quickly. Jarvis also does a great job of running his feet through contact out of his stance to drive his man down the field. Strickland is also very reliable in pass protection, showing the footwork to mirror opposing pass rushers and the awareness to constantly have his head on a swivel to find work. He also does a great job of getting to the second level quickly and picking up blocks in the open field. Keegan finishes his blocks with a ton of physicality, resulting in frequent pancake blocks.
