As we begin the month of November, another regular season of high school football in the state of Kentucky has come and gone. With that being said, I wanted to acknowledge some of the top performers in each class before we get deeper into the playoffs. Over the past week, I have been releasing my 2024 Regular Season All-State teams in each class. After already covering classes 3A-6A, I will now turn my attention to class 2A, starting with the offensive side of the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='373782' first='Brady' last='Atwell'] has continued to establish himself as one of the top quarterbacks in the state in his class this season. In 10 regular season games, Brady completed 165/246 passes for 2,452 yards, 34 touchdowns, and five interceptions. Atwell does a great job of escaping pressure, showing a great feel for incoming pass rushers then showing the ability to escape the pocket while keeping his eyes down the field to make throws on the run. Brady also has a strong arm which he uses to stretch the field in the deep passing game. He has also continued to display his dual-threat ability this year, finishing the regular season with 57 carries for 363 yards and 12 touchdowns. Atwell is committed to play baseball at Western Kentucky but is still an exciting quarterback to watch on the gridiron.

[player_tooltip player_id='1008393' first='Andrew' last='McCutcheon'] has truly exceeded expectations with a very impressive senior year. He finished the regular season as the 2A rushing leader with 196 carries for 1,894 yards and 26 touchdowns in nine games. McCutcheon has explosive speed which he is able to use to burst through the running lane with a sense of urgency then run away from the defense on long runs. When defenders are able to catch up to him, he has shown the elusiveness to make defenders miss in the open field. He also finished the regular season with nine receptions for 214 yards and four touchdowns, and returned one kickoff for a touchdown. Andrew has also made an impact on defense, finishing the regular season with 57 tackles and three tackles for loss. McCutcheon currently holds offers from Minnesota North College Vermillion and Otterbein, and I expect more to come his way as he has the talent to be a productive running back at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='371230' first='Daulton' last='Tarter'] is a player who has been high on my radar for a while now and continued to stand out this season. Tarter has had a strong junior year out of the backfield so far, finishing the regular season with 162 carries for 1,667 yards and 26 touchdowns in 10 games. Daulton is a very strong runner, showing the ability to keep his legs churning through contact while keeping his balance to break tackles with ease without losing stride. He has also shown the ability to hit a second gear and run away from the defense once he hits the open field. Tarter also finished the regular season with nine catches for 68 yards and played a huge role on defense at linebacker, accounting for 72 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, one sack, and five interceptions (four returned for touchdowns). Daulton doesn't currently hold any offers but he has received some college interest and will definitely be a player to continue to watch.

[player_tooltip player_id='1517136' first='Waryn' last='Ebelhar'] is a player who has caught my attention with a strong senior. He finished the regular season with 38 receptions for 933 yards and 11 touchdowns in 10 games. Ebelhar is a dangerous deep threat, using his speed to blow by opposing defensive backs to create separation. He is also very reliable in contested/jump ball situations, using his athleticism to go up and catch the ball at its highest point along with the strong hands to bring in the catch through contact. Ebelhar currently holds offers from Culver-Stockton and Campbellsville, and I wouldn't be surprised to see more come his way as he has the talent to play at the next level.

Massengale is a skilled route runner, showing the ability to use smooth breaks in his routes to create separation. He is also impressive after the catch, showing the speed to get up the field and pick up extra yards. Kasyn also finished the regular season with one passing touchdown and one rushing touchdown, and came away with two interceptions on defense. Preston plays with a high motor, finishing his blocks through the whistle.
