The 2024 regular season went by faster than light. It seems like only yesterday that I attended the annual Week 1 Kickoff Classic. Now, we have a bit of time to reflect on the regular season before playoffs begin in a couple of days. Now, I'll be going over a few of the best performances I have watched this season!

Anthony's Week 1 performance was one for the books. Against Davison, he played all three phases and played each position very well.

At Quarterback, he came in relief and instantly sparked life into the offense. He ran the ball extremely well, demonstarting great top speed and even a bit of contact balance. We didn't get to see him throw the ball much, but I know Anthony is a solid passer.

As the punter, Anthony had one extremely good heads-up play. I don't know if it was designed (I didn't think so but others thought it was), but Anthony took a bad snap and, instead of punting, scored a touchdown.

Another prospect from the Xenith Kickoff Classic, [player_tooltip player_id='1226338' first='Michael' last='Dukes'], came out and had a great game against Cleveland Heights. I always knew he had great athletic testing numbers and it was obvious on tape that he was talented. Though, before this game, I honestly doubted his abilities.

Those doubts were put to bed quickly. Michael played like Jahmyr Gibbs, being incredibly productive in space. He consistently found the edge, ran through arm tackles, and made some moves on a few very athletic defenders. He was a rankings riser, and I definitely think of Michael as a MAC prospect.

I saw Javari at several camps before ever watching him play in person during the Fall season.

Before then, I knew he was athletic. I knew he was well-built. I knew he had a good work ethic. Though sometimes, someone impresses me during the offseason and lays an egg during the season. Other times, someone impresses me during the offseason and then blows me away during the season. Javari is the ladder.

There became a point where UofD Jesuit gave up on trying to tackle Javari. Very consistently, Javari ran through defenders, broke a ton of tackles, and played with a relentlessness that I've seen few demonstrate. Amazing Week 2 performance and Javari has a chance to really make his name known this postseason.

I've written a lot about how much Tommy impressed me during Week 2, and I'll do it again here.

Tommy knows how to run an offense. In fact, I've only seen a couple of quarterbacks as smart as Tommy (last names Moore, Underwood, and Carr). Pre-snap, Tommy is able to recognize cues and is capable of changing the play at the line and running a ton of RPOs. He's also incredibly accurate at all parts of the field when compared with other HS QBs. He's also pretty athletic, but not athletic enough to be a true dual-threat in college. Great player, and a low B1G 10 prospect in my book.

Looking back on the season, Cameron was the best offensive lineman I've seen. Back then, I was a bit critical of his Week 2 performance. Now, not so much.

Yes, Cameron missed a few blocks against a phenomenal speed rusher. That's definitely something he needs to work on, but other than that, Cameron was stellar. Solid footwork, decent agility, and exactly the mentality you want from a lineman. A B1G 10 prospect through and through.

If there's one area that EK is strong in, it's receiver. They have good depth, and it would be hard for anyone to start at EK, let alone stand out.

Against Hudsonville, Ahman consistently got open against a solid secondary. I'm incredibly impressed with his route running and open-field abilities. As long as Ahman gets an accurate throw, he has a chance to turn an ordinary play into an explosive one. Although he's pretty undersized, I'd be surprised if he doesn't get any GLIAC offers.

I watched Jack give one of the most gutsy performances I've ever seen. In a tight game against a quality defense, Jack turned clutch mode on.

I watched firsthand how Jack can extend the play and still find an open man downfield. One throw, in particular to his RB Juke Johnson, was extremely impressive. In the 4th quarter, Jack consistently evaded pressure and made plays when they mattered most. A little inconsistent throughout the game, but I see a lot of QBs choke in crunch time.

I'd love to see Jack lead Oxford deep into the playoffs!

Conner came to play in a game where IKE was a pretty big underdog.

Offensively, Conner proved to be a near-elite deep target. While he didn't necessarily win separation, Conner was able to box out the DB and come down with those 50/50 balls. On top of that, Conner has the perfect size to be that physical X receiver at the D2 level. It's extremely difficult to stand out in the GLIAC, but I'm more confident than ever that Conner will be able to break through.

This postseason, Conner has a chance to make a name for himself. Immediately going against a great defense (Romeo) then likely facing an even better defense (Dakota), Conner needs to be on his A game. If he plays lights-out on both sides of the ball, IKE has a shot to make the semis!
