Perhaps the most clutch player in Michigan High School Football. Last year, it was a thriller against Rochester Adams, where Jack eventually led Oxford through a game-winning drive. This year, it’s against West Bloomfield.
Watch Jack’s highlights from last week. Kid can rip it. Sees the field incredibly well, and always seems to perform best when the lights are brightest. Specifically, the play at 0:27 stands out to me. Protection was great, Jack waits in the pocket, and throws a dart to the wide-open deep crosser. I’ve always loved Jack’s playing style, as well as Oxford’s passing scheme.
Jack is probably the most underrated QB in the state. A special high school football player whom I’ll remember for a long time.

Jack has picked up right where he left off. Below is a great 2-minute highlight tape of Jack picking apart a very good Groves secondary.
First highlight, on the designed rollout, Jack hits the out route right at the sticks. Really good man coverage killer schemed up by the staff, and great job by Jack executing it. Next, an excellent read and good accuracy on the deep post. Jack threw a dart and put it where his WR could get it. 0:25 is another bullet to his TE on the stick route, and 0:33 is yet another bullet to the corner route.
I could go on and on. REALLY high-level play from Jack, and a huge reason why I think Oxford is a major sleeper team this season.

I have gotten to see Jack work multiple times now, and I keep coming away feeling even more confident in what he can do. I have seen him at camps, personal workouts and playoff games. In all settings, he demonstrates a live arm, great mobility and just natural playmaking prowess. He’s as competitive as they come and he has the talent to back it up. There’s just something about his game that you can’t coach. As good as the mechanics and physical play is, his instincts are just as impressive. Oxford has been on the up and up over the last few seasons, and I think

Jack is always proving to me that he is a more than capable QB who loves the game! I really was impressed with how well he moved in the pocket and rolling out. He was nice and accurate and had no issues hitting receivers on the deep ball. The trajectory he is on is promising, and I really like where I saw his game through this whole workout!

I watched Jack give one of the most gutsy performances I’ve ever seen. In a tight game against a quality defense, Jack turned clutch mode on.
I watched firsthand how Jack can extend the play and still find an open man downfield. One throw, in particular to his RB Juke Johnson, was extremely impressive. In the 4th quarter, Jack consistently evaded pressure and made plays when they mattered most. A little inconsistent throughout the game, but I see a lot of QBs choke in crunch time.
I’d love to see Jack lead Oxford deep into the playoffs!

I’ve always liked Jack’s tape, but this was my first time watching in person. On tape, Jack is a pure playmaker. He’s able to get outside of the pocket and throw off-schedule as good as anyone. Jack has also shown a great ability to get the ball out quickly during play action.
In person, I saw exactly what I saw on film. On several occasions, Jack avoided pressure and ran outside the pocket, extending the play for quite a while. There were a few plays where I was very impressed by his quickness- he’s able to evade pressure as well as anyone I’ve seen.
Early in the game, I didn’t think Jack threw the ball super well. He was inconsistent, inaccurate, and throughout the whole game, he attempted a ton of off-balance throws with poor mechanics.
As the game went on, Jack got better, especially in the fourth quarter. There was a point late in the game where a switch seemed to have flipped. Down two scores, Jack got more passing opportunities and made the most of them. Down 10, Jack thew an incredible pass 25-yards downfield to his running back (first play on his tape). During the game-winning drive, Jack was getting the ball out quick and playing with a ton of confidence. In crunch time, Jack was smarter and more accurate.
Jack is a very good high school quarterback. Excellent playmaking, takes care of the football, and clutch. Unfortunately, his height will deter the vast majority of college programs. My gut says he’s an NAIA prospect, but a great one at that.

- Has that same quick release as last season
- Still does a very good job of getting ball out quickly
- Finds open receivers much quicker than most QBs
- Is able to throw the deep ball; needs to work on accuracy
- Multiple good throws under pressure
- Should earn a rankings boost come next update
