I absolutely love this kids game. Solid size, good release and great hands make him can’t miss. His highlights show him being able to pluck the ball out of the air and demonstrates a sizable catch radius. When he gets into the open field, a single defensive back struggles to take him down, and if he gets a full head of steam, he can lower his shoulder and finish with some contact. I think he could be a star at some 7 on 7 and camp days in the offseason and skyrocket his stock even more before the start of next year.

Hickey’s a nice player, and I’d be shocked if he wasn’t a phenomenal Varsity WR this year or next year.

Watch his tape and you’ll see what I’m talking about. Connor’s first highlight shows a sloppy route, but great ball tracking and a nice over-the-shoulder catch. Second, a great 50/50 ball win. Then at 0:43, Connor makes an awesome high-point catch in double coverage.

I’m impressed with Connor’s ball skills. He’s also earned time returning kicks, and he’s sometimes utilized out of the backfield. I’m bullish on Connor, and I expect an even better season this year.

One of those under-the-radar guys who I expect to have a great 2025 season. Last season, Connor demonstrated good speed and great hands at the JV level. His tape displays many jump ball W’s, and his skills down the field should translate nicely to the Varsity level. Finally, Connor has a few good highlights at running back and kick/punt return.

Clean up those routes and practice contact balance open-field skills, and Connor could be an excellent Varsity football player and a good college prospect. It’s too early for me to try and predict his college value, though.
