Somehow, someway, we're already more than halfway through the 2024 regular season. In this modern age of college football, the recruiting timeline continues to accelerate, and P4 (formerly P5) and FBS schools have the bulk of their senior recruiting classes lined up by the time the season rolls around. However, there is still plenty of recruiting and on-field glory for the taking. Minnesota is a state full of athletic sleepers, especially on the gridiron, and with football currently near its peak excitement and in-season thrills, there isn't a better time to drop a big-time, high-quality feature for PrepRedzoneMN focusing on the senior class. Culminated through the summer camp circuit, Preseason All-State MN film grind, and 2024 season on-field production, PRzMN strongly feels that these are the Top 25 Uncommitted Senior Sleepers in the Land of 10,00 Lakes. The names are what's important, but the rankings are compiled with the most important factor in mind being: "Did this prospect get their proper recruiting attention and looks?" The answer to that question for most of these 25 seniors is a firm "no", and sadly, a big part of why is because MN doesn't get its fair share of attention. You won't find this kind of accuracy, detail, and insight anywhere else! Enjoy.

About as underrated as it gets, Eden Valley-Watkins has yet another monstrous athlete coming out of its ranks in the #1 2025 Uncommitted Sleeper [player_tooltip player_id='1582424' first='Wyatt' last='Moehrle']. The Eagles have been putting out big, long, and athletic prospects on the gridiron and hardwood at a consistent clip the past decade, and you could go so far to say that EVW is one of the most under-the-radar recruiting hotbeds in outstate Minnesota. Recently seen in-person and verified by fellow PRZ scout [player_tooltip player_id='1292716' first='Nate' last='Wahl'], the only indication that the internet can give you that Moehrle is a baller is in some local game and state championship recaps, including a Male Athlete of the Week nod by the Tri-County News. You can't even find his stats on MNFootballHub, but Wahl got a hold of them from a EVW's coaching staff, and boy are they impressive. In the 2023 Class 2A state championship-winning run, Moehrle posted 51 catches for 1,311 yards and 24 TDs. EVW is currently AA's #2-ranked team, and the 6'4, 195 lber. is up to his old ways, showing off a big-time catch radius, ball skills, and according to Wahl, route running as well. Moehrle also plays basketball, a HUGE plus in Minnesota, and has experience in big-time game situations in both sports. Wahl was told that North Dakota had been kicking the tires a bit, but he currently sits offerless at this time. No film available, so this is about as "sleeper" as it gets in the modern age. I hope a college coach reading this takes a look!

I'm surprised that Sauk Centre's [player_tooltip player_id='1202006' first='Troy' last='Hansen'] is still a sleeper. Having discovered and went public by PrepRedzoneMN this past offseason in the winter/early spring, the large and physically dominant DE still has not reported a college offer despite multiple DII visits and correspondence with DIII, DII, NAIA, and DI teams. We ran into Hansen on the summer camp circuit when he was verified at over 6'4.5" and nearly 230 lbs., and he went 5.09 in the 40, 4.84 in the shuttle, 8'9" in the broad, and 29 inches in the vertical. D1-worthy size and athleticism combination for the unoffered senior, and his junior film showed off a long, physically dominant, fluid, and high-motor pursuer with speed, power, and quickness in his arsenal. This fall, he's up to his old ways, posting 17 tackles in one game last week, and he's also a multi-sporter who competes in basketball and track for the Mainstreeters, one of the best mascots in Minnesota. No updated film from 2024, but this is a heckuva hidden gem in between Saint Cloud and Alexandria.

3) [player_tooltip player_id='1581618' first='Elijah' last='Woodley'] (Luverne) 2025. LB/OL. 6'5, 240 lbs.

Another small school find on the Preseason All-State film grind, Luverne High School's [player_tooltip player_id='1581618' first='Elijah' last='Woodley'] was a First Team Preseason All-State Class AAA linebacker, and watching him play off-ball 'backer at around 6'5, 240 lbs. was quite the sight for sore eyes. Also a hooper for the Cardinals, which always spells good things in the Land of 10K Lakes, Woodley's junior tape shows a massive off-ball linebacker with a big frame that carries his weight well, looks lean, and can hold more weight and retain his mobility at the next level. He possesses good lateral agility and can scrape and work across the LOS well for an XL linebacker, and reacts, recognizes, and triggers on the ball with urgency. Woodley is also a hammer at the contact point, especially if he has some steam behind him, and can support in pass defense and hit his drops in zone coverage. I like his play speed and recognition for his size, and there's no question that you have to be athletic to play off-ball linebacker at his size, especially at the smaller school where size in the trenches is coveted. Has a Twitter (@EWood59908) that isn't very active, but he hasn't reported a college offer yet. Big-time sleeper out of the town of around 5,000!

4) Ethan Riemersma (Willmar) 2025. 6'6, 205 lbs. CB. @EthanRiemersma

Another big-time embodiment of the "sleeper" part of this article, I discovered Willmar's uncommitted gem Ethan Riemersma on the long journey of the Preseason All-State film grind, and I think he has the chance to really improve someone's college football program. Listed at 6'6, 205 lbs., Riemersma plays cornerback and wide receiver for the Cardinals, and he's one of the biggest cornerbacks I've ever seen on film. A Second Team Preseason All-State Class 4A Defensive selection, Riemersma has very limited 2024 film so far, which I'm hoping will change soon, but his junior highlights from 2023 display a massive CB with the speed to carry WRs going vertical, ball tracking skills, and good change of direction and start/stop ability in man coverage. He can accelerate out of his breaks and stay in-phase with receivers downfield and shows solid hips, as well as the ability to read route concepts as a zone defender well. The man coverage skills at his size are intriguing, and although I doubt he's a leigt 6'6, the athleticism at that 6'3-6'4 size makes him a dynamic prospect with upside at a multitude of positions. No active Twitter, so I think this kid is very much under the radar right now.

5) [player_tooltip player_id='1582430' first='Jackson' last='Reeves'] (Hill-Murray) 2025. QB. 6', 180 lbs.

Hill-Murray is full of 2025 sleepers, including 6', 220 lb. RB [player_tooltip player_id='1204354' first='Xavier' last='Daniels'] and 6'4, 215 lb. TE [player_tooltip player_id='1204091' first='Jack' last='Drange'], but the Pioneers are home to one of the biggest sleepers in the entire state in QB/ATH [player_tooltip player_id='1582430' first='Jackson' last='Reeves']. 5'11+ with a 6'3" wingspan, Reeves also has big hands and absolute burners in his lower body. He was clocked in both the 4.5s and 4.4s in the summer camp circuit 40 times, as well as a 4.45 shuttle and 9'1 broad. That is some serious explosive ability, and on top of it, Reeves passed for 1,301 yards and 24 TDs and rushed for 239 yards and 5 TDs in 2023, and in 2024, he's passing at a 64% completion percentage (36-56) for 514 yards and 6 TDs to 0 INTs, and added 25 rushes for 160 yards and 2 TDs on the ground as well. Reeves also checks a big-time box in the multi-sport department, playing significant varsity minutes the past two seasons with the Pioneers heavyweight hockey team. In true sleeper fashion, he's reported 0 college offers right now, which is a crying shame if you ask me. His senior year midseason highlights display a signal-caller who can break a game open with his legs and is deadly once he gets into space, sometimes rocketing all the way to the endzone without even being touched. Reeves owns a strong arm that can stretch the field on a rope, good touch and can drop the rock into a breadbasket, and will stand in the pocket and deliver throws through contact. Plus, he can extend plays with his legs and throws a good ball outside of the pocket and on the move. I can't lie, I don't think his future would be best served at QB in college, as he's a heckuva athlete with a ton of explosive ability, but no matter where you play him, Reeves is a dynamic athlete with a ton of upside. Private school sleeper with some juice!

6) [player_tooltip player_id='641141' first='Evan' last='Kludt'] (Alexandria) 2025. WR/DB. 6'3, 185 lbs.

Can't emphasize the "sleeper" as much for Alexandria's Kludt, who was a big presence in the summer camp circuit and a name that only rang with positivity when talking to coaches at all levels of competition. Three-phase contributor, multi-sporter who has been clocked 11.1 in the 100M and 22.6 in the 200M, as well as a 22'9" long jump, and has posted great production at the prep level. Through four games of 2024, Kludt has posted 17 receptions for 240 yards and 3 TDs, a kick return TD, and 605 all-purpose yards. In 2023, he tallied 23 tackles, 570 receiving yards, 11 TDs, 6 interceptions, and 2 of those INTs went back for six. This summer, showing off his hard work, we had Kludt at a verified 6'3 and 180+ lbs, going in the low 4.6s, as well as a shuttle in the 4.4s, broad jumps over 9 feet, a 31" vert, and a 7.05 L-drill, so the athleticism box can be checked as well. The game tape box can be checked as well, as Kludt is an electric playmaker who is up to his same explosiveness in 2024. The senior tape shows a vertical threat with a big-time post/corner route in his back pocket, slippery YAC ability thanks to his balance, COD suddenness, and long legs, and the overall explosiveness to take kick returns back to the house. Catch radius, ball skills, playmaking mentality, I think Kludt could be an FCS steal for someone as a WR or safety. MSU-Moorhead, Minnesota-Duluth, Sioux Falls, Bemidji State, Winona State, and MSU-Mankato have all offered so far.

A physically massive sleeper out of the 5A ranks, Tartan High School's Le'Terrion Brown is a giant human being who was running routes and playing with the TEs this summer during the camp szn circuit. 6'6+ and 240ish pounds, Brown has nearly a 6'6 wingspan and 10" hands, and has clocked near a sub-5-second shuttle and two 8'4" broad jumps to add to the excitingly athletic combination of eye-catching data points. This is where the information on Brown begins and ends, as the senior only has three reps of junior tape, although it does show length, the ability to disrupt and penetrate behind the LOS, and a good get-off, but there's far from a large sample size of reps or data available on the 2025 Uncommitted Sleeper. Judging from the contingent of coaches Brown had to watch the rising senior at camp this summer, he has the trust of his coaching staff, but there's a heavy emphasis on the word "sleeper" for this senior.

Representing the Rogers Royals, defensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='743248' first='Cal' last='Myrin'] is one of the largest seniors in the state and has finally put things together on and off the field to put together a strong - and still ongoing - senior season. A massive 6'5, 255+ lber., Myrin popped off a 4.72 short-shuttle at the North Dakota Flagship camp and can squat 425 pounds, bench 345 pounds, and deadlift 500. The kid can move and has the size to make plays and enforce his will against D1 opponents as well. Without getting too much into it, off-field factors have prevented Myrin from suiting up for the Royals varsity team until now, but he's making up for it in a big way in 2024. Great length, possesses a frame that can continue to add muscle and mass and retain its mobility, and uses said length, as well as active, heavy hands, to separate from blocking attempts and make plays around the LOS. Positionally versatile and can play multiple spots at the DL, Myrin can string together moves and counters when defeating blocks and shows real pass-rushing capability from the middle of the Rogers defense. He owns a good get-off, a bit of bend at the top of the arc, and can split double teams and has a good sense of navigating, holding his gap, and working through multiple blocking attempts while anticipating where the RB is heading to. Big, long, explosive, and physical, Myrin is making up for lost time and is a name that could create some serious waves as a late-blooming senior, possibly to the point of one of those final D1 roster spots. Keep your eyes and ears out for this name the rest of the season!

Talk about an athlete, and to emphasize the "sleeper" in this talented list of Uncommitted 2025 Sleepers, Sayadeth was a JV contributor in 2023 as a junior who primarily played outside linebacker. Now a wide receiver on varsity, Sayadeth has posted 3 catches for 159 yards and 2 TDs in two games of reported stats on MNFootballHub and looks big-bodied, long, physical, and strong in his two games of highlights uploaded to Hudl. About as sleeper as it gets, Sayadeth could absolutely blow up at the next level and is a steal of an athlete for a potential college suitor.

10) [player_tooltip player_id='1582446' first='Brooklyn' last='Evans'] (Eagan) QB/RB. 6', 180 lbs.

Eagan High School has seen a resurgence this fall, performing like one of the top teams of 2024 and owning one of the best narratives of the still-developing season. Arguably the biggest reason for the Wildcats' success is their excellent senior QB/RB [player_tooltip player_id='1582446' first='Brooklyn' last='Evans']. The 6', 180 lb. (verified) senior is explosive, and although I don't have his total stats from 2023 or 2024, we do have film, and it is impressive. Plus, PRzMN nabbed some testing numbers on Evans from the summer, wherein the senior posted two 40s in the 4.5s, a 4.33 shuttle, and a 9'8 broad jump. That's some serious explosiveness, and the film backs up the athletic numbers and in-person impressiveness. Big-play burst, suddenness, and ability to cut at top speed, and a nifty array of cuts, jukes, and spin moves help Evans remain elusive and upright in the open field, and he needs to be keyed on and spotlighted each and every play. I also like his vision, and his top-end speed helps him finish big runs once he gets out into space and to the third level of a defense. So far this season, he's posted 230 rushing yards and 2 TDs vs Rosemount , and was the PRzMN Week 4 MVP after going for 19 carries for 204 yards and 3 TDs vs. Lakeville South in the Wildcats 6A upset of the Cougars. No Twitter, so I don't know what his recruitment is looking like, but I do know this sleeper has juice!

Representing the 6A Big School and old Classic Lake Conference powerhouses, Edina High School has a big, athletic, and underrated senior TE prospect in [player_tooltip player_id='743267' first='Jake' last='Bock']. A verified 6'4+, 230 lber. with an almost 6'5 wingspan and big hands, Bock can go 4.7 in both the 40 and shuttle and nearly 9" in the broad jump, as well as almost 30" in the vertical, but was under-utilized in 2023 and didn't post much production in a loaded Hornets roster. However, he was smooth during the summer camp circuit's 1v1s, and used his size and length to his advantage in pass-catching situations. St. Thomas smartly offered first back in June, and Pioneer League competitors Butler and Valpo have also reached out with FCS roster spots, but think this kid is a sleeper and has the potential to really blossom and succeed at the next level. At the midseason point of 2024, Bock's four-game highlights show a TE with big-time vertical ability for the position, contact balance and tackle-breaking ability after the catch, and the ability to break down and find space as a route runner and show some shake at the top of the route. He's also a powerful blocker who can handle defensive linemen and at the LOS or climb to the second level to take out LBs, and I like his body control for his size as well. Still making plays in one of the most crowded WR and TE rooms in the state. Get on him!

12) Ayo Ogundeji (Nevis) RB. 5'9, 180 lbs.

Not sure how 9-man playmaker and splash play weapon Ogundeji hasn't made it out of the "sleeper" qualification, but here we are. An absolute burner who has clocked multiple sub-11-second 100M times with a PR of 10.91, Ogundeji also ran in the low 4.6s this summer at camps we were attending, along with a 4.54 shuttle, 9'1.5" broad, and 7. 44 L-drill. However, he popped off a crazy 4.37 40 at the North Dakota flagship camp in July. In 2023, Ogundeji tallied 132 carries for 1,277 yards and 17 TDs (9.7 YPC), and 39 tackles on defense, and through five games of 2024, he's more than set to surpass his junior season numbers. 94 carries for 918 yards and 9 TDs - at an 184 YPG average - is a heckuva start to your senior year, and I get the sense that schools are overthinking it with the 9-man standout. Speed speaks for itself and solidifies itself at every level of college football, and Ogundeji has a raw amount of it, plus some on-field heroism (see his opening play hurdle of his junior tape) to really make a splash at RB at the next level. The midseason senior tape displays a RB on another level of ability than his competition. First two TD runs on his tape he goes untouched, and his contact balance has bumped up a notch since he was a junior. Ogundeji can easily run through weaker tackle attempts at his lower body, and arm tackles up top as well, and his quick feet and sudden cuts keep defenders on their heels and guessing while pursuing in space. He's a threat to score every time he touches the rock, and despite a plethora of DII and FCS visits, the Nevis senior remains offerless. College programs are missing out on a major RB prospect from the 9-man ranks. Don't overthink this one.

Given the last name, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise that the son of legendary University of North Dakota and Minnetonka Vikings TE Jim Kleinsasser is a heckuva college prospect, albeit labeled as a "sleeper" at this point in time. [player_tooltip player_id='1206995' first='Carter' last='Kleinsasser'] is deserving of a well-earned 2025 rankings bump, and the summer camp circuit is a big reason as to why he's going to be a big stock riser in the PRzMN 2025 Big Board. Yes, the junior tape was solid, but with this context, - in the form of athletic testing numbers - it's easy to say that [player_tooltip player_id='1206995' first='Carter' last='Kleinsasser'] is a Uncommitted Senior Sleeper right now. At 6'2, 230 lbs. (verified), Kleinsasser popped off a 31" vert, a near 5.0 40, and a 4.68 shuttle at 230 lbs., displaying some impressive athleticism for a pass rusher and current OLB, DE, TE, and occasional WR. Playing with one of 4A's toughest squads year-in and year-out in the Mound Westonka Whitehawks, Kleinsasser's senior midseason highlights show off a standup EDGE with lead in his hands that can shock & shed and create separation from single and double teams with his punch and active hands. The 230 lber. possesses good bend, balance, effective closing speed, and is a hammer at the contact point. He owns a great get off and flies out of his stance, can go speed-to-power when needed, and has an effective pass rushing arsenal. Kleinsasser attacks blocking attempts and uses good technique and raw power to win 1v1s, including against Golden Gophers commit [player_tooltip player_id='552396' first='Abu' last='Tarawallie'], an dis a fun and lethal combination of technique, power, and athleticism. The #1 rusher in Minnesota's 11-man ranks, Manns has rushed 90 times for 1,048 yards (11.6 YPC) and 17 TDs, at an incredible 209.6 YPG average, and he has some eye-catching single-game stat lines this fall. Against Pine City, Manns rushed 7 times for 281 yards (40.1 YPC) and 5 TDs, and against Mora, carried the rock 20 times for 246 yards and 6 TDs, just to name a couple. This kid is the real deal, and has done nothing but produce since he's hit the varsity scene. The stat lines aren't coming out of thin air either, as this kid is an explosive athlete and absolutely tore up our PrepRedzone Prospect Tour in April of 2023, running a 4.5 flat in the 40, a 4.44 shuttle, and a 9'10 broad jump, numbers I'm sure he can best now that he's a senior. Don't know how, but despite the in-your-face production and athleticism, Manns hasn't been officially offered by a college football program. His elusiveness, speed, twitch, and footwork are just ridiculous in his senior midseason tape, and he's absolutely embarrassed his opponents and would-be tacklers so far in 2024. Kids are just straight up quitting out there in pursuit, and if they are trying, it looks like they're in slow motion compared to Manns. It's just too easy right now. What does this man have to do to get an offer?

There's always some serious talent coming out of Mankato, and East High School has a seriously good Uncommitted Senior Sleeper on their roster in cornerback [player_tooltip player_id='1581610' first='Mickale' last='Smith']. Owning premium size for the position as a verified 6'2, 160+ lb. cornerback, Smith had a strong showing on the summer camp szn circuit, running in the low 4.6s in the 40 and popping off a shuttle in the 4.5s and a 9'7 broad jump. That kind of athleticism will serve you well playing corner, arguably the hardest position to play on the gridiron, and last year, Smith posted 24 tackles, 3 PBUs, a FF, and an interception. Right now, Smith's only offer is UW-River Falls, a great offer by the Falcons, and his senior midseason tape displays a CB with noticeable length, the speed to easily stay on top of even speedier WRs going vertical, and good timing when he breaks on and plays the ball in the air. The 6'2 senior naturally undercuts routes, maintains good eye discipline until he's in the receiver's hip pocket, and is patient when reading and reacting to WRs as they get through their routes. Plus, Smith will stick his head into run support and has no problems playing and finding work inside the box. Need a DB? Look here first!

I'm fresh off seeing Shakopee's Taye live and in person on Friday night against Minnetonka, and in a contest stacked with D1 talent across the board, Taye was one of the players of the game and made quite an impression as a big-game performer in the 6A ranks of Minnesota prep football. Not your biggest back, measuring in at nearly 5'8 and around 160 pounds, but this kid can fly, clocking a 4.61 40 this summer, as well as a 4.14 shuttle and two 10'3" broad jumps. A big part of why the Big School RB talent is still so undiscovered at this point in his career is the fact that he totaled only 12 carries in four games as a junior, so he's really excitingly breaking onto the scene as a senior, already posting 11 carries for 207 yards and 4 TDs (18.8) YPC average to act as a big-play back for the Sabers powerful rushing attack. Noticeable burst, good vision, utilizes space well, and uses some shake in his hips to throw defenders off their pursuit paths. His top-end speed helps him finish runs once he gets to the third level of the field, even against 6A DBs and competition, and he owns good balance and significant acceleration that can go 0-60 in a blink. Plus, he's tough, will run behind his pads, and isn't scared to be called upon in a big moment. No offers yet!

For Kingsland's stud DE/TE [player_tooltip player_id='1201998' first='Parker' last='Johnson'], our next Uncommitted Senior Sleeper, it's all about production, production, and production. A stud 9man pass rusher, Johnson was the state's leading sacker in 2023, posting 16.5 sacks in 14 games, as well as 27 TFLs and 5 TDs for good measure. I'm assuming the size (unverified 6'2, 200) and 9man classification of competition are holding college suitors back, but it's absolutely wild that he doesn't have a single offer or roster spot given the production and natural pass-rushing ability and skillset he put on tape as a junior, and now senior. I don't have any testing numbers to strengthen the argument, but it's very safe to say that Johnson is underrated and hasn't gotten his fair share of looks on the recruiting trail. The senior midseason tape shows Johnson up to his old ways: flattening opponents with crushing hits as a blocker and tackler, burning defenses for big plays down the field and fighting like heck to stay upright and forward, and acting as a versatile and dynamic football player who can do a ton of different things well on the gridiron. Great get-off, uses his hands well, and can win with speed or power in 1v1 blocking situations. His tape is filled with a variety of good plays. Catches, rushes, broken tackles, crushing blocks, TFLs, sacks, and more, Johnson is aggressive, displays a hair-on-fire playstyle, seeks out and enjoys contact, and his balls-to-the-wall effort between the whistles stands out on tape as well. I just love how this kid plays football. Someone is going to get a steal in their 2025 class.

Another Preseason All-State find, Grand Rapids senior [player_tooltip player_id='1226612' first='Doug' last='Jesperson'] was a First Team Class 4A Preseason All-State going into the season, continuing a trend of talented, athletic sleepers out of the Grand Rapids program since I've been working for PRZ. No numbers for the safety, but he brings great size to the table at 6'2, 205, and the junior tape definitely popped. The senior midseason tape does as well, displaying a two-way athlete and contributor with flashes of physical dominance as a RB, WR, and safety, where I think his talents best lie at the next level. Jesperson has some noticeable length and weight on him, and has reps in his senior tape towering over and man-handling WRs, so I like his frame as it projects to college ball. A long, explosive RB with noticeable burst, he's also a WR with great ball skills and contested catch ability. He eats contact well, pumps his legs after contact, and has good contact balance who is a load to bring down. As a DB, Jesperson is sticky in man coverage and a productive, playmaking defensive back with good range in coverage, a nose for the football, whether INTs or forced fumbles, and physicality through contact. Lots of contact with DIIIs, DIIs, and NAIAs, and took a visit to my beloved St. Olaf, but no official offers yet for the stud athlete out of the 218.

A former North Dakota Fighting Hawks commit, it's hard to argue that 9man competitor Fertile-Beltrami's [player_tooltip player_id='502012' first='Isaiah' last='Wright'] is as much of a "sleeper" as some of the other names on this list, especially given the fact that he was an FCS Missouri Valley commit, but I still think that Wright hasn't gotten his fair share of looks as a 9man playmaker out of Outstate Minnesota. A 5'10, 200 lber. Wright had a monster junior season production-wise, totaling 2,060 total yards (1,655 rushing, 405 receiving) and 33 TDs, as well as 31 tackles, 3 INTs (one of which he returned for six), and a fumble recovery for a touchdown as well. I don't have detailed 2024 stats yet, but I do know that Wright tallied an eye-popping 6 carries for 245 yards and 5 TD performance in Week 4 against Win-E-Mac, and Fertile-Beltrami is currently undefeated at 5-0 and is the #3 ranked 9man team going into Friday night. Wright is a 4.6 kid in the 40, has clocked an 11.0 100M time, and has clocked a shuttle as low as a 4.2 and a broad jump over 9' feet between the 3-4 exposure points we've gotten on the now-senior. Wright is on another level of athleticism in 2024, looking too strong and too fast for pursuers to touch, much less tackle, and he's fluid, balanced, and explosive. Another 9man RB who college suitors shouldn't overthink, he'll make his future college look very smart for pulling the trigger on his talents.

Another new name scrounged off the Preseason All-State film grind from August, Providence Academy had a surprisingly strong (in a good way) roster going into the 2024 season, and they are playing like they have size, talent, and experience, currently holding the #4 ranking in Class 4A and sitting at 4-1 with their lone loss to coming to #1 ranked Becker, 13-9, in Week 2. One of the cornerstones of the Lions' success is current Uncommitted Senior Sleeper [player_tooltip player_id='1581622' first='Alec' last='Santelman'], a 6'5, 225 lb. offensive tackle with plus length and a ton of room to continue to grow and fill in. A Preseason Class 4A All-State Second Team offensive lineman, Santelman has top-tier size for the OL position and is a lean, long 225ish pounds that could add significant weight through his college years. No senior tape yet, but Santelman's junior tape shows off an OG that can change direction and combo to the second level with noticeable balance and ease. He's fluid enough to play on the front line of kickoff return and has a great rep of him tracking and catching a pooch kick to sae his coaches some stress, and looks flexible for a 6'5 guard and is able to pull, as well as pass set, with effectiveness. Santelman displays good leg drive post-contact and his long arms and well-timed punch can halt defenders and keep them at bay once he extends his arms. What really gets me excited is his physical upside. If this kid hits the weight room and lunch trays hard, the size and mobility with some added strength could really turn him into a beast. Only a minute and a half of junior tape, as well as unoffered with only a visit to Bethel, and you have a certified sleeper on your hands. Can never have enough big, long bodies in the trenches.

Another speedster to make the list, Owatonna WR [player_tooltip player_id='1120567' first='Nolan' last='Ginskey'] is a big reason why the Huskies are off and rolling in 2024, currently holding the #3 ranking in Class 5A and an undefeated 5-0 record. Ginskey's recruitment began to pick up last spring, as MSU-Mankato, Winona State, and St. Thomas all offered, but things are too quiet for the Uncommitted Senior Sleeper, especially after he posted 30 receptions for 611 yards and 8 TDs through five games of action in 2024. Ginskey is a 4.5 hand-timed kid who has clocked those numbers at multiple offseason camps we've been in attendance at, including the PrepRedzoneMN Stock-Up Showcase, and he also has clocked short-shuttles in the 4.2s and 4.1s, as well as multiple broad jumps over 9 feet. The kid is an athlete, and his production has been superb as well. Ginskey caught 73 passes for 1,194 yards and 8 TDs in 2023 and is more than poised to pass the yardage and TD numbers as a senior. Has a rep against Rochester Century where the senior works back to an underthrown fade, then breaks three tackles, then breaks two of those tacklers again, then burns past another couple of pursuers to finish a dynamite TD catch and run. Ginskey can easily take the top off the defense, possesses a sudden, powerful, and effective cutting ability helps him separate and burn defenders after the catch and in the open field, and can high point the football and win contested catches. His sticky coverage ability who can play man coverage on opponents and change direction and mirror quicker WRs routes, and the 507 product has a pick-six in 2024 for his efforts. Don't blink, you won't want to miss this uncommitted speedster.

Hard to find a sleeper out of the Metro, especially 4A private school Benilde-St. Margaret's, but I do think that senior WR/TE [player_tooltip player_id='641137' first='Luke' last='Guggenberger'] hasn't gotten his fair share of looks on the recruiting trail up until this point in his career. Guggenberger, a big-bodied wideout, has been consistently productive and pumping out impressive game tape since he was a sophomore with the Red Knights. As a sophomore, he caught 57 for 817 and 6 TDs, and as a junior, Guggenberger caught 57 for 875 and 12 TDs, coming against high-quality competition, helping him long stay near the top of the 2025 PRzMN rankings. Somehow, he only has an offer from Sioux Falls right now, and we have evidence, besides the production, as to why he should be considered a sleeper. At a verified 6'2+ and 215 lbs., Guggenberger has massive hands (over 10") and a 6'3 wingspan that plays a big part in his catch radius and soft hands. I think he's a future TE, and is a 4.8 40 guy who also goes 4.6 in the shuttle and well over 9' in the broad. His extensive route-running capability and contested catch prowess stand out from his junior tape, and as a senior, the midseason film shows a pass catcher who has stepped more of a traditional TE role, lining up at the LOS and getting his hands dirty as a blocker. However, he still has juice as a receiver, getting open at the top of the route, reeling in catches through tight coverage, and breaking tackles after the catch. I think the balance of his pass-catching prowess, combined with size and athleticism, would make a collegiate TE room significantly better.

I'm a bit surprised that our next Uncommitted Sleeper hasn't blown up more. Coming out of 5A powerhouse Moorhead, who is putting together a spectacular 2024 season, senior offensive tackle [player_tooltip player_id='1582466' first='Heaton' last='Hall'] has eye-catching size, plays at one of the best programs in MN, and on top of it all, is a pretty dang good athlete. At a now-verified 6'6, 252 lbs. this summer, [player_tooltip player_id='1582466' first='Heaton' last='Hall'] was a towering presence on the summer camp circuit and looks even more massive padded up on the gridiron. This summer, Hall clocked a 5.52 40, a 5.16 shuttle, an 8'4" broad jump, and a 25" vertical jump, strong numbers for a still-growing 6'6, 250+ lber., and yet somehow, Hall has yet to earn a college offer. Maybe he got lost in the loaded Spuds roster, maybe it's the absence of film, or the lack of visits, but Hall has been contacted by several NSIC programs, and Concordia-Moorhead, and only has an offer from Valley City State. Could be a big-time sleeper at one of football's premier positions.

No offers and coming out of a town of 3,000, that's the making of a sleeper. Doesn't hurt that the kid is also a standout baseball player and a Preseason All-State Selection coming out of the Class A Offensive Team. Oh yeah, and did I mention he's 6'4, 205 lbs.? Don't have any numbers on Helget, but the size, multi-sport background, and tape are all big boxes to check, and Helget is balling out as a senior and really utilizing his size advantage. Helget has a ton of length and a great frame for the next level, and owns a huge catch radius and can easily climb the ladder and high-point the ball over DBs heads. He shows strong hands that can reel in catches through contact and tight coverage, as well as stay upright through coverage and hurt defenses after the catch, a little bit of shake at the top of the route, and is a physical blocker who is a menace to LBs and DBs at the perimeter and around the box. I could see him growing into a TE at the next level, but for now, he's a mismatch nightmare and physically dominant WR at the prep level for Sleepy Eye.

Another big-bodied, small town two-way prospect uncovered during the Preseason All-State film grind, Chisago Lakes High School is filled with sleepers on their 2024 roster, but the biggest goes to 6'5, 175 lb. A Second Team Preseason All-State selection at both WR and DB, Siefert doesn't have Twitter, so I don't know where his recruitment is at, but I'm sure he's under the radar right now. Great frame to project to the next level, two-way contributor who has posted 19 tackles and an INT, as well as a catch for 55 yards and a TD so far in 2024, and the senior midseason game tape shows a long, physical cornerback with good ball skills who can win 50/50 balls. Siefert shows solid change of direction ability for his height at the CB position, plays off-man coverage, and shows he can drop his hips and get out of his breaks with some pace. Also does a great job of not getting tied up by blocks out on the perimeter and enforcing and supporting the run. Could play safety, LB, or WR/TE at the next level, and has the frame and two-way experience to really blossom at the college level.
