C/O 2028 Film Review-Evals- Pre-Rankings Report

The New England Class of 2028 rankings will be published mid-October 2024. In this report, I will preview 8 Prospects recently graded and will be added to this early c/o 2028 New England rankings list. The freshmen class is always a challenging process regarding our ranking list. Let's face it: Athletes always separate themselves in every respect. For example, some kids grow. Some kids don't. While being 5'5” isn't a liability in the 8th grade, it becomes more problematic in a player's sophomore year. There's nothing you can do about it, but it is a recruiting reality that size matters a ton.   Many kids tend to hit their stride in the 10th and 11th grades. Those whose growth spurt came a year ago frequently find their coordination. Kids who have invested in their skill development start to show the fruits of that labor against stronger varsity opponents. Others stagnate, plateau, or level off. Whichever term you want to use, we often see early bloomers tail off and later bloomers take off. That is why all prospects ranked as freshmen should always keep an open mind that additional c/o 2028 prospects will be added in the future, and your respected early rank # placement will likely change. Every prospect we rank in New England is encouraged to keep working hard and not view this list as guaranteeing matriculation to the college levels.   <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />    [player_tooltip player_id='889357' first='Liam' last='Conlon'] - Im hearing he is getting some varsity playing time. A peak at his film clips from three early 2024 games displays a very good frame, and he can move fluidly. This confirms what we observed during his spring showcase in May 2024. He is an active player who shows very good movement at an early age. He appears Instinctive in the run game. Strong on contact. Has a solid knee bend.      [player_tooltip player_id='992927' first='Colton' last='Fischer'] is a DE/TE type Player. Fischer also brings varsity experience, having picked up some play time in the fall 2023 season as an eighth-grader. He is getting varsity time again this year as a freshman. I observed his spring (The league) 2024 film for ranking purposes. He is seen as strong at the point of attack. He has a very good base and power from his lower body. Rory is also a stud baseball student-athlete. In his 1st season as a varsity QB, he has 722 yards and 7 TDs in the first three games. Fluid athlete with a competitive character. He makes plays on the run, has good pocket awareness, and can be a dual threat. He is patient, going through his progressions and locating open targets.      [player_tooltip player_id='378937' first='Joshua' last='Moore'] - Known as big Josh, and rightfully so. He stands 6'5 270 pounds, and can already move a sled with 1,400 pounds for 10 yards. Josh flashes the ability to dominate the LOS and knock HS players on the ground. Appears to have the skill set to get to the second level regularly. Flashes the ability to move the line of scrimmage. Displays good balance and finishes blocks. Plays with great pad level by demonstrating good knee bend. Plays with a good natural wide base.       [player_tooltip player_id='1027707' first='Xzavier' last='Chafin']: He started varsity as an 8th grader. He has a huge ceiling and the potential to grow in height. He is being graded and ranked from viewing his spring football (The League) film. He is an athletically coordinated defensive tackle with a solid get-off that flashes obvious quickness. I like how he uses his hands to stand up and take on blocks while he reads and reacts quickly to the ball carrier. He is a prospect we have graded for Div 1 college-level projection. He is no stranger to getting gritty in the trenches with consistent efforts each rep.      [player_tooltip player_id='889581' first='Riley' last='Selvais'] - PRZ Scouts observed Rilley perform at a showcase in May 2024. 'Selvais" impressed scouts and I with his quickness, speed, and athleticism. He is young but understands the route tree, and he is already well-versed and advanced in technique. Selvais is on track and projected to be a slot-type WR at the college level. This is based on the early skills he displays and the size he already boasts as a freshman.      [player_tooltip player_id='889367' first='Tommy' last='Mahoney'] is a big-frame guy. He is already strong and has been seen knocking high school linemen off their feet while he continues to develop. He saw some varsity action last season in 2023, as an 8th grader. He has obvious strength at the point of attack. He makes good use of his hand placement in getting in tight and controlling defensive linemen. He demonstrates the ability to get to the second level. He has a nastiness skill set. A surefire Div 1 prospect who could pan out to be another New England national prospect after all is said and done.      Reclass. Appears as a nasty/solid athlete with high potential who will fight the height concern through his recruitment. Plays bigger and more significant than his height. He has an obsvious motor and excellent reaction time on defense. His skills are similiar to Mikey Sainstrill who was a former Everett Massachusetts versatile High School star and Univ of Michigan star athlete who is now in the NFL.   <a href="https://linktr.ee/buddhabreydon">https://linktr.ee/buddhabreydon</a>
