It's the month of October and that means it's time for a prospect ranking update! Throughout this month, we have been updating each class ranking and following up those updates with in-depth breakdowns on a ton of prospects in each class. Two weeks ago, we kicked things off with the 2028 Watchlist. Last week, we continued our updates with the 2027 class, featuring the Top 75 Sophomores In Oklahoma. This week, it's time to take a look at the state's 2026 class. The latest ranking update now features the Top 150 Juniors In Oklahoma. In this breakdown, we're taking a look at the running back position. We knew about all five of these running backs prior to this year but with all five, it feels like they've taken their game up a level this season. All five have established themselves as guys to watch at this position moving forward.

Looking back at our notes on Union running back [player_tooltip player_id='858876' first='Tayveon' last='Parry'] and there's one word that keeps coming up. Potential. We first watched Parry in the 2023 offseason and he showed a lot of potential. He did the same this offseason but we were still waiting for that breakout moment when the lights are brightest in the fall. It's happened this season. Parry has emerged as one of the top running backs in Class 6A-1 this season and he leads the Redhawks in every rushing category. Parry is also third on the team in receiving and he has been a complete weapon for the Redhawks on the offensive side of the ball. Parry has been a guy waiting for his opportunity and he's absolutely taken advantage of it this season.

Owasso junior [player_tooltip player_id='1045556' first='Jayson' last='Moll'] is part of a three-headed monster at running back for the Rams. So when you compare Moll and his production to the rest of the 2026 class, you have to keep that in mind. He hasn't gotten as many touches as some of the other guys but on the ones that he's gotten, he makes the most of it. Moll is averaging just shy of nine yards per carry and is absolutely electric in the open field. His first step and overall burst has him near the top of the charts in the state's 2026 class and we can only imagine what his production and overall numbers would look like if he wasn't splitting carries. Despite that, he's still one of the running backs to pay attention to this offseason and moving forward.

Newcastle running back [player_tooltip player_id='449184' first='TJ' last='Bradford'] has been on our radar for a while now. Since he was a freshman, Bradford has been a player to watch in the state's 2026 class. He had his breakout moment last fall as a sophomore, becoming one of the top running backs in Class 4A. This season, he's now in Class 5A and has the Racers as a team to watch as we move closer towards the playoffs. Bradford missed some time earlier this season but when he's been on the field, he's been absolutely electric. And he has Newcastle in a position to capture the district championship in their first season in Class 5A. When Bradford is healthy, he's definitely one of the more productive running backs in the state's 2026 class.

Elgin has been the top-ranked team in Class 4A since our preseason rankings came out in June. Nothing has changed as the Owls have been led by a dominant offensive line and an emerging star at running back. [player_tooltip player_id='472321' first='Ritson' last='Meyer'] was a name that we had circled coming into this season because you could see the signs were there for him to have a monster junior season. He was behind the school's all time leading rusher last season so his opportunities were minimal. But when he got on the field, you could see that the Owls were going to be just fine with Meyer running the ball. He's definitely benefitted from having an outstanding offensive line but he's the complete weapon at running back. He can carry the ball or catch it out of the backfield.

Choctaw running back [player_tooltip player_id='476091' first='Mayor' last='Morgan'] is in a similar position to guys like Parry and Meyer. You could see signs that he was going to be an absolute dude but was waiting for his opportunity to show that on more of a consistent basis and that time has come this season. Morgan got playing time last season but he was splitting carries and had to share the backfield with several other guys. This season, his carries have doubled from last year and the yards and touchdowns have seen a significant jump because of it. Morgan has taken the increased workload and absolutely dominated this opportunity. The thing that we like about him is his nose for the end zone. It seems like every game this season he's scored at least two times.
