<p><strong>2.</strong> <strong>Solon (2-0) –</strong> The Spartans followed up a dominating win against Assumption with an impressive 42-14 victory at 4A Clear Creek Amana Friday. <p><strong>3. Mount Vernon (2-0) –</strong> The Mustangs have beaten their two opponents by a combined score of 87-12. They rolled over visiting Union, 43-6, on Friday. Kellen Haverback threw for 190 yards and a score. DL Kael Riniker racked up 4.0 sacks. </p>

<p><strong>5. Williamsburg (1-1) – </strong>The Raiders couldn't repeat last year's win against perennial 4A power Xavier, falling to the Saints, 29-27, Friday in Williamsburg. In defeat, QB Grant Hocker threw for 210 yards and two touchdowns, completing nine passes to John Eichhorn for 134 yards and a score. All-stater <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='848057' first='Rayce' last='Heitman']</strong><a href="https://prepredzone.com/player/rayce-heitman/"></a> led the defensive effort with 13.5 tackles. </p>

QB EJ Miller completed 15 of 21 passes for 287 yards and four touchdowns without an interception.
