Tommy is playing even more dominant than he was in 2023 while helping lead Grafton to a State Championship appearance. The senior RB has over 900 rushing yards through 5 games with 12 TDs on the ground and another through the air. The big play threat from 2023 is even more electric this fall going from a 6.4 yds/carry average to an 8.1 yds/carry average.

The tape shows the leap in development even more. There is no question about whether or not Tommy has the physicality to play at the next level. As soon as he touches the ball the 6'2" 210 lbs RB is ready to lower the shoulder and run over a defender. His is so quick to find seams, allowing him to always be getting downfield and not having to wait or dance laterally. Lutz also has the necessary speed to create the big play when he hits the open field. Tommy is a very imposing athlete at RB who is looking bigger, stronger, and faster than every in 2024.

Noah put in the work this past offseason. The 6'2" DE is looking agile, and twitchy off the edge. His first step quickness is a major advantage to his game. Noah has the quickness to be able to set up OTs one way then cut back across their face without even having to physically engage with them on the way into the backfield. The senior also shows that he can run tight angles to the QB, flipping his hips towards the QB as soon as he gets to the heels of the OT. Noah also has flashed the power to hold the edge against the run, and that part of his game will continue to develop in a college weight room. Don't sleep on the senior DE.

Coming into the season I was hoping to see Isaiah take a step in his development, and we got what we hoped for. The senior LB is an exciting prospect on tape. He has a quick burst to accelerate with and to close on the ball with. That closing speed turns into impressive hit power as he sticks huge hits on ball carriers and receivers over the middle. Isaiah's instincts look so strong through the first half of the season too. Whether reading the QB in zone coverage or diagnosing run plays through the flow of the OL or finding the ball in the backfield. Isaiah is an LB recruit that can play in space, on the edge, or in the box. Don't miss out on the impressive recruit.

Another senior RB dominating the WI HS landscape is Medford's [player_tooltip player_id='245936' first='Paxton' last='Rothmeier']. Paxton is an experience runner with over 270 career carries. Even with all the playing time, Paxton has never looked better. He is on the doorstep of 1,00 yards through 5 games and is averaging an unbelievable 10.1 yds/carry. That is two yards more than his elite 2023 season average. Paxton is dominant attacking outside the tackles. He has the speed to stretch the defense out and then get up field. The senior can flip a switch once upfield where he can cut laterally on a dime, start/stop in a flash, or anything else it takes to make a closing defender miss in space. He can go from full speed, downhill to elusive and very shifty so quickly. Paxton does a great job finding the hole and either hitting it, or pressing the hole then cutting outside or to a cutback lane last second. He is quick to find the most effective path to yards. He is on the rise.

We came into the season with hopes/expectations of Ben getting more involved in the passing game and that is what he has done. Through 5 games, the senior TE has already beat last year's numbers in receptions, yards, and TDs. Plus his yds/rec has taken a huge leap from 13.4 to 23.3 yards/rec. The midseason highlights show a massive target who has special body control at that size to be able to elevate for the ball, make the circus catch along the sideline, or hold on through contact. After the catch, the massive target is a smooth athlete that can make DBs miss one on one. He is able to get up to speed so effortlessly and can cover ground with high end speed for the position. Ben also retains that well rounded TE skill set because he is a devastating run blocker who can run over DL when he pulls across the formation and you can count on him to handle edge defenders one on one. The standout TE is looking even bigger and better than last year.

Ty has made a huge leap in both production and development this season, so far. He went from 9-155-2 in 2023 to 36-467-2 in the first 5 games of 2024. Ty has proven to be so reliable as a receiver. Both before the catch and after it. The WR is blessed with balance, a low center of gravity, and next level acceleration. Those three combine to make him a sudden, smooth route runner who can create cushion from any DB he has faced this season. I was able to watch Ty live this season and in that game he was the go to man in some clutch moments. He converted long third downs and was the man his QB would find during scramble drills. Aparicio has a knack for finding the soft spots on the field and after the catch is very hard to contain. The senior has made a name for himself through 5 games, and will continue to build on this career year at Vel Phillips Memorial.

Brady has Menomonie off to a hot 4-1 start in 2024. Through those 5 games, Brady has put together an impressive stat line that is already pushing to beat his 2023 numbers from an 11 game span. Brady has improved his downfield throwing and it is showing up with his yds/att rising by almost 2 yards. While seeing that number rise we have also seen his accuracy numbers move up a tick as well. Brady has the arm to be able to threaten a defense 40 + yards downfield. The range and accuracy force defenses to cover the entire field on passing downs. That opens up windows for Brady to exploit and he is doing it so well this year. He is decisive, aggressive, and trusts his man to finish the play if he gives him a chance to make a play. Brady is playing very confidently and it is showing up in the form of big numbers, wins, and impressive tape. Check it out!

Blake has taken a massive leap in 2024. Through 5 games he already has more yards than he did in 2022 and 2023 combined for DC Everest. The senior currently has a stat line of 106-779-13 through 5 games. The tape is more impressive than the jump in production. Blake carries the ball with great vision, finding blocks and daylight while simultaneously always gaining yards. He has the speed to get around the edge before LBs or DBs can close on him. Blake has taken a massive leap as a playmaker too, creating those out of the ordinary plays and making them look easy. Blake also does a great job of staying untouched on his runs. Whether that be by making people miss, with speed, or by letting blocks develop. Defenses have a hard time slowing down what they can't get their hands on.

Carter has definitely found that next step in his game. He entered his senior season without a career interception, but 5 weeks in the senior now has 5 to his name along with an additional PBU. His play in zone coverage is where the production comes from. Carter is quick to read and react to the QB. His short area quickness allows him to bait QBs into bad decisions, and his ball skills ensure that his offense will get the ball back quickly if he gets his hands on it. That short area quickness gives Carter the ability to quickly recover also or close on receivers further away in his zone. Kaufmann does a great job of keeping everything in front of him and coming up to make effective tackle attempts. Carter fits the mold of a zone coverage CB or a safety at the next level.

Wyatt has taken a massive leap in production when it comes to the disruptive categories. TFLs and sacks in 2024 are already higher than what he produced in 2023 in only 33% of the games. The massive DE is still developing his technique and the nuances to the position, but his knowledge of how to use his raw tools has improved. He creates space and uses his speed to get around the edge after he gets that space. The big man also plays with quick feet and the ability to cut laterally and make the OL miss. The senior DE also has solid range to be able to get after the QB once he gets into the backfield, even if the QB breaks outside the pocket. Wyatt has made himself one of the more disruptive senior DL in the state.

Logan has become a huge piece of the undefeated Cedarburg's offense and defense as a senior. He primarily plays TE/S. On offense, Logan makes an impact as a receiver and runner. He lines up at TE, as a wing, or split out wide so he can create mismatches all over the field. In the passing game, Logan does a great job of tracking the ball deep downfield and adjusting his body last minute to make the grab. He has excellent hand-eye coordination to make difficult grabs. On the ground, Zahour has the speed to get the edge on sweeps and brings physicality to the position with a strong stiff arm. At safety you really get to see the high football IQ as he diagnoses plays and makes stops or plays on the ball. The big framed safety brings plenty of range to the position too. Logan is one of the more versatile athletes I have seen this year and is in line for a big jump up the rankings at the end of the season. Don't sleep on this kid!
