Isaiah was up to the challenge of trying to slow down the Baldwin- Woodville rushing attack. The OLB looked very comfortable meeting ball carriers out on the edge and making the one on one tackle. The senior is a very agile, and rangy OLB who fits the new age of OLB/nickel roles. An athlete who can play off the edge in space while avoiding kick out blocks and making tackles but also drop into coverage when needed. It was great watching how aggressive he attacked his tackles too, including punching the ball out on multiple occasions.

Coming into the season I was hoping to see Isaiah take a step in his development, and we got what we hoped for. The senior LB is an exciting prospect on tape. He has a quick burst to accelerate with and to close on the ball with. That closing speed turns into impressive hit power as he sticks huge hits on ball carriers and receivers over the middle. Isaiah’s instincts look so strong through the first half of the season too. Whether reading the QB in zone coverage or diagnosing run plays through the flow of the OL or finding the ball in the backfield. Isaiah is an LB recruit that can play in space, on the edge, or in the box. Don’t miss out on the impressive recruit.

Taylor looked like an intriguing LB/Nickel prospect in his Week 2 highlights. Isaiah is at his best playing in space off the edge. Out there he can flash the easy range, lateral agility, and change of direction. He also got to flash the quick hands, awareness, and playmaking abilities on his pick six. Taylor did a great job of playing the run attacking the edge. He was able to avoid blockers and then close on the ball carrier with a quick burst. Isaiah is also a very good tackler, ending plays with hard hits and wrapping up to ensure the ball carrier can’t run their feet for more yards. Don’t sleep on the senior LB.
