. The Platteville commit was utilized as a workhorse back in the Evergreens explosive, yet balanced attack and weren’t afraid to get him involved in the passing game. Without his dominant playoff performances the Evergreens wouldn’t have gone on the run they did that almost ended with a trip to Madison. Overall, Blake was 8th in rushing yards, and 11th in Rushing TDs.

. The focal point of the DC Everest offense put together another highly productive week against #1 seed Waunakee. He creates his success with a very well balanced skill set. If the senior needs to win with power he has the leg drive and contact balance to come out the other side of tackles or piles. Does he need to get outside and beat pursuit angles? The senior has the speed to break the game open on those big chunk plays. Blake does a great job of finding and hitting holes almost instantly when he sees them. He has the quick lateral agility to always be able to redirect himself right to where he can best attack the defense. Blake is one of the biggest risers from the start of the season. You need to check this kid out.

are on a mission to prove they are much better than their seeding. They are doing it with physical, smash mouth football. The senior RB toted the rock an insane 40 times for 300+ yards in a dominant showing to keep the season alive. You don’t have to watch long this week to see the powerful leg drive, and the contact balance through those broken tackles. Blake is an RB that makes you earn every tackle against him and he isn’t going to quit until the whistle blows. The senior isn’t just a power back. He is a three down back. One that can carry the ball inside or out and can also be asked to be an impact on the receiving end. He can handle a huge workload, but also change a game with one carry. Get this kid on your radars. He is going to be a big riser during rankings updates.

DC Everest’s offense is no stranger to big offensive showings. They have dominated a lot of defenses this season and they continued that in Level 1 of the playoffs. Blake has proven to be a workhorse back and gave even more proof with his 32 touches on Friday night. The senior’s vision behind the line is fantastic. He quickly finds the lane and then shows off the burst as he sticks his foot in the ground. Once through the line Blake shows off the power. He rips through arm tackles, has an effective stiff arm, and can also make the lateral cut to give himself leverage on a defender as he tries to beat their pursuit. Blake is a well rounded ball carrier who can not only carry inside and out, but also catch the ball.

. As you can see from the stat line and the way the game played out, Blake was a big part of how the Evergreens were able to get back into the game. Blake has a well balanced game. He can play between the tackles where he will run behind his pads, keep his balance and create yards after contact. The senior showed vision to find the holes and the power to create holes if nothing was there. He also was able to run with solid speed in space and also was very effective in the screen game thanks to his patience and vision. Blake played like a true three down back who could run inside, outside, and be a receiving option.

Blake has taken a massive leap in 2024. Through 5 games he already has more yards than he did in 2022 and 2023 combined for DC Everest. The senior currently has a stat line of 106-779-13 through 5 games. The tape is more impressive than the jump in production. Blake carries the ball with great vision, finding blocks and daylight while simultaneously always gaining yards. He has the speed to get around the edge before LBs or DBs can close on him. Blake has taken a massive leap as a playmaker too, creating those out of the ordinary plays and making them look easy. Blake also does a great job of staying untouched on his runs. Whether that be by making people miss, with speed, or by letting blocks develop. Defenses have a hard time slowing down what they can’t get their hands on.

Blake has put together a breakout party early this season. He already has a 260+ yds 6 TD game and a 170+ yds 3 TD game in just the first three weeks of the season. The production is off the charts, and the tape is just as fun and impressive to watch. The word that comes to mind while watching it is: balanced. Blake is very good at understanding how to attack. He can win with vision and patience behind the line. He can attack downhill with power between the tackles and break through tackles of LBs. The senior also has the speed to get the edge and beat pursuit angles. Blake has proven he can handle a massive workload and take over games. It looks like the senior is still looking for that first offer, and that doesn’t add up with the tape. Give the stud a look.
