Aalim Brown - Lowndes

An electric South Georgia back who has really opened some eyes this season as a freshman, Brown has been a big-play machine through his first three games of the season, eluding defenders with ease while he lights up the stat sheet. This speedy, shifty back has rushed for 383 yards on just 22 carries for an incredible 17.4 yards per carry. When he has the ball, good things happen, and good things have happened a lot so far. LEading the Vikings to a strong 3-0 start, Brown ran for 119 yards and two touchdowns in a week one win over Mt. Zion, rushed for 56 yards and one touchdown in a victory over Central Gwinnett, and then ran wild against Manatee for 208 yards on just eight carries. He's been as productive as anyone in the area and bound for a massive final season.

Joshua Ulrich-Troup – Richmond Hill

A strong, balanced back with a shifty running style, this Southeast Georgia back can make defenders miss while running through tackles at the second level. He brings a muscular 5-foot-11 210-pounder and came into the season as one of the more slept-on backs in the Savannah area. He shows good vision from the backfield, hits the hole hard, and runs with good leverage behind his pads. As a junior in 2023, Ulrich-Troupe ran for 799 yards and four touchdowns. He's off to a big start to the 2024 season, rushing for 497 yards on just 69 carries and six touchdowns. He ran for a respectable 137 and 83 yards during his first two games, but went off in a big way last weekend, rushing for 277 yards and four touchdowns against New Hampstead. He's a sleeper back having a giant senior season so far.

[player_tooltip player_id='1567281' first='Bryian' last='Duncan'] - Cairo

A dynamic young running back on the rise in South Georgia, Duncan may be "under the radar" right now, but his stock is quickly rising in a big way. He's been running wild to start his sophomore season, rushing for a respectable 62 yards and one touchdown against an elite Thomas County Central defense. In week two, this speedy, smaller back took off for 168 yards and two touchdowns. In week three, leading Ciro to their first win of the season, this fast-rising sophomore ran through Kathleen for an eye-opening 293 yards and five touchdowns on just 14 carries. His best football is still ahead of him, and he should see a big boost in the next 2027 Prep Redzone rankings. He's running like one of the top 2027 backs in South Georgia to start the 2024 season.

[player_tooltip player_id='489529' first='Deron' last='Foster'] - Valdosta

One of the top 2027 running backs in Georgia, Foster is a Power Four talent who is coming off a fantastic freshman season where he ran for 912 yards and 12 touchdowns. A shifty back with burst and the ability to stay balanced after initial contact, Foster isn't the biggest back at 5-foot-9 175-pounds, but he runs hard, fights off defenders and is off to a really strong sophomore season. The productive Valdosta back has rushed for 402 yards and seven touchdowns through the first four games of the season, averaging a cool 100 yards per game. He's also rushing for an outstanding eight yards per carry and is doing it in just his second season. Look for Foster to have a fantastic season this year with more offers coming way over the next two years.

[player_tooltip player_id='1572532' first='Alvin' last='Ricks'] – Wheeler County

A strong, small-town back from the town of Alamo, Ricks is a promising back who had a big sophomore season last year, rushing for 925 yards on just 85 carries. A slippery back with excellent quickness and change of direction, Ricks runs hard for a smaller back and is off to a possibly breakout junior season. He's run for 424 yards this season on just 46 carries for a respectable 9.2 yards per carry. When he has the ball, good things tend to happen. Ricks ran for 135 yards and two touchdowns in a week one loss to Wilkinson County, then rushed for 138 yards and one touchdown in a big win over Taylor County in week two. Last weekend, Ricks ran for 151 yards and two touchdowns during a big win over Twiggs County. He's been tough to stop so far this fall, and he's on his way to being one of the more productive rushers in the area this season.
