Through 4 weeks of the regular season, I think it's time to check in on some of the most dynamic athletes we have in our state and how they're doing so far!

Jaden has been getting the job done both offensively and defensively for Detroit Catholic Central. On the defensive side, it seems like he is in on a majority of the tackles, and has demonstrated a great nose for the football and is able to create turnovers. Offensively, Jaden is incredibly versatile. He can line up as a traditional RB, hitting the hole hard and making a quick and decisive cut and breaking loose for big yardage. He has lined up at QB and run some QB power, typically bursting through arm tackles and breaking free for an explosive play. He even throws the ball on occasion, typically with decent accuracy. This is a do it all kid that is an absolute gamer!

Everett in general is having a pretty big year, and Javari is a huge driver behind this. He's a weapon they love to utilize out of the backfield both on inside runs going downhill running through defenders, or getting outside the tackles, making guys miss and using some nice moves to create space and grab some extra yardage. In addition, he's a rangy linebacker who can wreck an offensive game plan with his discipline and pure athletic ability. Keep an eye on Javari and Lansing Everett going forward!

This kid continues to climb my board as far as receivers go. He has collected over 400 yards and 5 TDs through 4 weeks, including a game winner and multiple critical catches. His release is fantastic, and that helps him get separation right off the bat, and his attention to detail on his routes finishes the job and gets him open a ton. He has good hands and a good frame, and I really love what he puts on film. I'll definitely be paying attention to him moving forward.

I really like what I see from Stark so far this season. He's an impressive back with good vision, a low center of gravity and powerful legs. He maximizes runs and is always able to grab a couple extra yards. Nate serves a very important role in this Brighton offense and so far this season, he is showing why he is starting to get some solid recruiting attention. I'll definitely have my eye on him, but so far he has been stellar.

There aren't many that are off to as hot of a start to 2024 as PJ. He has shown over the last 4 weeks how good his vision is, how hard he can run and an ability to maximize yardage. Just in week 4 he had 20 carries for 142 yards and 2 TDs, showing off a grind it out mentality he has and the stamina he has to be able to do that. He has been putting up some pretty amazing numbers all season long, and I expect this prolific run game to boost Paw Paw to some pretty great accomplishments this season, and it all starts with #25.

Marcello is one of the most valuable players in the state, especially in the Detroit Area. On a weekly basis, he's racking up 150-200 total yards, and is finding the endzone more often than not. On special teams, he uses great vision to exploit weaknesses in coverage, and then uses burning breakaway speed to turn it into a touchdown. He is also utilized on the ground, dicing through the hole and breaking up field for huge chunk plays. He's also utilized to stretch the defense vertically catching passes out of the backfield and racking up YAC. This is one of the elite prospects in 2026, and he is showing why!

[player_tooltip player_id='602292' first='Matthew' last='Evans'] is one of the better 2 way players we have in this state. On offense, he terrorizes defenses with his lanky frame, good route running and sticky hands. He showed out for us multiple times in the offseason at the receiver position, and it looks like it is really translating on the field. Defensively, his long arms create more problems as he is able to get in there and break up or intercept a lot of jump balls. He also has shown an ability to read and react to balls in the flats or screens, and a willingness to come up and make the big hit. Evans has been a huge stock riser with us here at PRZMI, and his performances so far are solidifying our opinions of him.

A lot of people clamor for who they think is the "most underrated" but I would Carson may be the correct answer here. From the QB position, Carson orchestrates and runs the South Christian offense to perfection and has the crazy instincts and impressive skills to be a menace to defenses. Turn on the tape of the state finals game from last season, you'll see Carson extending plays 5-10 seconds, running 50+ yards side to side, and either tucking the ball or throwing a dot to a receiver deep down field. He does things you just can't teach, and it's hard to even evaluate because everything he does is so off schedule and instinctual. Purely based on talent, individual effort and instincts, Carson absolutely had to make this list!

Through 4 weeks of the regular season, I think it's time to check in on some of the most dynamic athletes we have in our state and how they're doing so far!
