I've spoken about Beau a few times this offseason. Generally, he's an extremely talented dual-threat QB with real Power 4 upside. Beau is also one of my most anticipated transfers, as he's now at West Bloomfield. Although Beau is on a new team, the level of competition remains the same, the scheme changes in his favor (in my opinion), and his weapons have been upgraded.
Let's dive into Beau's highlight tape. Most of the tape shows Beau standing strong in the pocket, and rifling the ball downfield. I especially like the variety of Beau's throws. I watch a lot of tape in which the QB tends to favor different parts of the field far more than other parts. Beau on the other hand, spreads the ball out a ton. Credit to both Beau and the DCC scheme, but the fact that Beau can throw it to the middle of the field and boundaries just as well is great. In addition, Beau throws the ball with great power and solid accuracy. He can have better placement + timing, so I'll look for him to improve those areas this season. I'm excited to see what Beau will be able to do at West Bloomfield! If he plays at his best, Beau could lead West Bloomfield to Ford Field this season.

Back in May, [player_tooltip player_id='1298663' first='Lawrence' last='Wells'] took over the MHSAA Camp in Brighton. He was undoubtedly the #1 player at either Brighton showcase, and he's left us highly anticipating his Senior season. In a 7on7 format, Lawrence showcased a big arm, consistent mechanics, and truly impressive accuracy. Whether it was a short slant or a deep corner, Lawrence threw with just the right amount of power, touch, and timing. It's a short sample size, but I've rarely seen a QB put up that type of performance and not back it up later in the season. Brighton has done their best to bring in great offensive talent, and I hope that Lawrence is able to gel with the offense enough to earn a ton of wins and great playoff seeding. For Lawrence to reach his ceiling this season, he'll have to show that same great accuracy while keeping composure in big moments. I'm also looking for Lawrence to use his legs in a smart manner. If he can put it all together, Lawrence could be in the Mr. Football conversation.

Sante has been on my radar for a few years now, and he's coming off a great first season as De La Salle's starting quarterback. Early last season, Sante served as a phenomenal game manager. I watched Sante make quick and calculated decisions in their early-season matchup against Muskegon. Then at the State Championship, I thought Sante looked much-improved from earlier in the season. Sante's greatest strength is his confidence and decision making. I see a ton of Quarterbacks get easily rattled in big situations, and even more QBs struggle to get the ball out on time. You can always expect Sante to get the ball out in time, make a relatively accurate throw, and generally take good care of the football. It's also very notable that Sante can make a ton of plays with his legs. He's currently a phenomenal D2 prospect, and he has a prime opportunity to level-up to being a D1 prospect this season.

A Ferris State commit, [player_tooltip player_id='602072' first='Jordan' last='Simes'] is an extremely athletic quarterback with a big arm. Watching his tape, Jordan has a very quick release and is a great off-schedule playmaker. There are several occasions where Jordan moves out of the pocket, keeps his eyes downfield, and delivers a strike on the run. I'm impressed with Jordan's accuracy while on the run and outside the pocket. Jordan also has a few instances of great pocket passing and getting the ball out very quickly (0:33). He also has great throw power, and can rifle the ball in the short-intermediate range very accurately. This season, Jordan has a great opportunity to lead Roseville deep into the postseason.

McKale is a severely underrated Quarterback. Granted, McKale can be a bit inconsistent, but when he's at his best, there's no stopping him. I watched when during Week 1 of last season, McKale nearly led River Rouge to an incredible upset against Belleville. Although Rouge came up short, I was incredibly impressed with McKale's composure, confidence, and grit in the big moments. In addition, I was impressed with McKale's on-time passing and his ability to make good, calculated decision with the football. I know that McKale has the ability to make just about any pass in any situation, and he's able to use his feet to earn yardage when needed. I honestly have no idea why McKale hasn't earned many (if any) offers, but just speaking on skill, he deserves some opportunities. With just a bit more all-around consistency, he'll be a late-bloomer prospect.

Although I haven't seen much from Axel this offseason, I know he's a great quarterback who projects incredibly well to the college level. Axel's highlight tape perfectly showcases his wide range of abilities. First off, his mechanics are consistent and fluid. Second, he knows how to throw accurately with just the right amount of power. There are also several instances of great touch, timing, and even a bit of running. As a pro-style QB, Axel has always had great upside. I'm looking forward to seeing how Axel will perform this coming season, and I'm excited to see where he'll end up playing at the next level!
