Sante has been on my radar for a few years now, and he’s coming off a great first season as De La Salle’s starting quarterback. Early last season, Sante served as a phenomenal game manager. I watched Sante make quick and calculated decisions in their early-season matchup against Muskegon. Then at the State Championship, I thought Sante looked much-improved from earlier in the season. Sante’s greatest strength is his confidence and decision making. I see a ton of Quarterbacks get easily rattled in big situations, and even more QBs struggle to get the ball out on time. You can always expect Sante to get the ball out in time, make a relatively accurate throw, and generally take good care of the football. It’s also very notable that Sante can make a ton of plays with his legs. He’s currently a phenomenal D2 prospect, and he has a prime opportunity to level-up to being a D1 prospect this season.

Sante returns for his senior year with something to prove I believe. Despite leading one of the best teams in the state, putting up good numbers and being a leader, I still don’t think he has received the amount of recruiting attention he deserves. He has gotten some D2 offers and even a D1 offer from Colgate, but I suspect this fall he could really take off. Sante is very comfortable in the pocket, stands tall and makes good decisions. He has demonstrated a few different times that he can throw on the run and extend plays. Overall, I have Sante as being very underrated and ready for more attention this fall!
