Kickoff is TOMORROW (Well, it's in less than two hours since I'm publishing this so late at night). So, you're probably viewing this article either on gameday or after our initial Thursday games. Winding down the offseason content, I thought it would be a good idea to share my thoughts on six Quarterbacks set to make their starting debuts.

I won't say much because I've spoken about Jaxson so much this offseason. All you need to know is that Jaxson is an uber-athletic and very accurate quarterback who finally gets his opportunity to shine. His first matchup will be against De La Salle- a tough defense that he'll need to be prepared for. I'll be at the game, and I can't wait to see Jaxson play!

Tommy is someone that I'm extremely excited about this season. With his brother CJ at Notre Dame, Tommy now gets the keys to the kingdom. On tape, Tommy seems to have just as much natural talent as his brother. Tommy has a huge arm, and makes deep passes look effortless. Now the varsity starter, I'm curious if Tommy will have the same IQ and consistent accuracy as other elite quarterbacks. Tommy's ceiling is as high as any, and there's a great chance that he's a solid D1 prospect by the end of the season.

Donald is about to go into one of the most hostile environments in Michigan for his first-ever high school football game. Mentally, this might be a lot for a freshman QB. Physically, Donald has all the tools to succeed. On paper, Donald is next in line for Michigan's elite quarterbacks. I have yet to watch Donald in person, but from the little film I've seen, he seems to have a huge arm, consistent fundamentals, and immense physical talent. I'm super bummed that I won't be at Donald's first game, but our other scout Tyler Graham will!

Although I'm not going to see Donald play this week, perhaps I'll watch him during the state championship game...

From a wide high school football media lens, Brayden is being overshadowed by Donald's debut on the Rockford turf. I'm not rooting for anyone (though I think Cass Tech is the favorite), but I would LOVE to see Brayden spoil what's supposed to be a big night for this unique Cass Tech program.

Brayden has been hard at work for quite a while. Last season, he competed for the starting job, and this season, it is his. I watched Brayden a few days ago at a four-way scrimmage and thought he looked solid. He played within the offense and didn't make mistakes. I watched Brayden a couple other times this offseason, and I'm pretty confident in my evaluation of him. Brayden is a quarterback with consistent fundamentals, but sometimes struggles with accuracy. He's honestly ranked #128 only based on what he's done this offseason, and many quarterbacks completely change my opinion while they're in-season. I truly hope Brayden can come out and play with a ton of confidence, because he has no reason not to!

I was completely unaware that Camden was making his debut at Quarterback until someone from Whitehall commented on my tweet. Needless to say, I'm extremely interested in what Camden will be able to do this season now that the ball will be in his hands on each and every down. Without a doubt, his play at QB will also improve his RAC and overall playmaking abilities as a receiver. Sometimes I'm a bit iffy on sending your star receiver to QB, but in this case, I am ALL for it. If I had to guess, I think he'll have a few explosive plays against Unity Christian.

Kayd is an incredibly unique quarterback. For one, he's garnered a ton of offseason hype. It seems he's done everything in his power to put himself in an excellent position to succeed this season. On the other hand, I'm unsure where my expectations should be for him (which is on me because I didn't focus much on him this offseason).

East Kentwood seems to have a very talented roster, and Kayd seems to have all the tools to carry the offense to success. I like that Hartland is his first opponent, as they honestly seem like a good middle-of-the-road team to get some good reps against (sorry Hartland fans). Later in the season, Week 3 @ Caledonia, week 6 vs. Grandville, or week 9 vs. Rockford are all matchups that I'll consider attending.
This season, I'm looking for Kayd to be one of the most consistent QBs in West Michigan. I'm also looking for him to be one of if not the best pocket passer in the West.
