The Defensive line has to be the most entertaining position group to watch. There's nothing like watching the O and D line battle it out, and there's nothing like an unlockable Defensive lineman. This is a position that requires an incredible amount of athleticism, strength, and precision. All of these D-Linemen have proven to be college prospects, and they're the best of the best for this round of new additions. Here are my evaluations of the top 6 D-Line new additions!

Derek is another extremely obvious new addition to the 2025 rankings. He's one of those freak athletes that we see every year from a few small schools. On the O-Line, Derek is able to pancake practically anyone put in front of him. Defensively, Derek is an elite defensive tackle. Right off the bat, Derek explodes out of his stance and overpowers every lineman taking him on 1v1. In addition, Derek has a motor that I see from very few DTs. A ton of DTs can give good effort for a few seconds, but struggle stopping anything that isn't an inside run. Not Derek. Rushing the passer or defending an outside run, Derek is able to explode in any direction and make a big play in the backfield. Love the effort, love the athletic traits, and the potential is through the roof. I look forward to seeing what Derek is able to do at Michigan State.

Logan is an incredibly good run-stopper on the interior D-Line. Against some of the best offensive lines in Michigan, Logan was able to bench-press his opposing lineman and stay put, no matter the type of block. Against the inside run, Logan can quickly and powerfully throw the lineman to the side in order to plug the hole. As an inside run defender, you'd be hard-pressed to do much better than [player_tooltip player_id='1290709' first='Logan' last='Howell']. That said, Logan is a bit under-developed outside of run defense. In the future, I'd love to see better lateral quickness and motor. Still, Logan is undoubtedly an extremely high-upside prospect that projects very well at Miami (OH).

Another evaluation, another prospect who should've been on the rankings a long time ago. Right off the bat, Warren has good size and sports a variety of well-repped pass-rush moves. Just watch his tape for a minute. At 0:22, Warren earns a sack while dipping past an opposing tackle. Later in the tape, Warren shows off his production as a receiver. More on pass rush, I'm impressed by how detailed Warren is with his rush moves. He isn't as quick or explosive as I'd like, but his decisiveness and understanding of pass rush makes him a prime MAC target. I like his commitment to Western Michigan and I look forward to watching him compete this Fall.

Jayden may be a gigantic steal for Saginaw Valley State. Last season, Jayden brought the juice as an interior D-Lineman. What I like most about Jayden's tape is his consistent effort and his amazing anchor. Although he's not very agile, Jayden does a phenomenal job at plugging his gap and making tackles when a runner is adjacent to him. On top of that, I like Jayden's strength.
Considering his size and current skill, the GLIAC is a great home for Jayden. If he can become more explosive and athletic, then Jayden's ceiling is through the roof. I consider Jayden to have a higher ceiling than some D1 prospects, and I'm looking forward to seeing how he fares this coming season.

Davair is one of those prospects with freakish measurables, raw fundamentals, and an insanely high upside. After watching him in person and on tape, it's extremely apparent that Davair has the potential to be a phenomenal D1 college athlete. Currently, Daviar has a decent first step, a long stride, but not too many pass rush moves per say. I would especially like Davair to become much more explosive out of his stance while making much better use of his hands. Still, his length is extremely impressive and the upside is unquestioned. That said, Davair could quickly become a great prospect if he can put together a breakout season. Davair ranked at a respectable #141 and could find himself in the top 100 if he breaks out.

Isaac is a prospect who's on the verge of being a great GLIAC prospect. This offseason, Isaac earned an offer from Davenport while having several good camp showings. Because of the offer from Davenport, I'd expect good testing numbers as well.
More about his camp showings- Isaac has shown a great first step, and he's been developing good, active hands + decent speed rush. On tape, Isaac shows his explosive first step alongside good run-stopping. In addition, there were many occasions where Isaac found himself in an opposing backfield where he showed a wide tackle radius. All in all, I really like the effort shown from Isaac. He's a quick defensive lineman who does his best to shed blocks, but really needs to improve his physicality + rush ability in order to earn those GLIAC offers. I hope that Isaac is able to put up a breakout season!
