2026 Rankings – LB Spotlight (June ’24)

We've seen a ton of football this offseason from the 7v7 circuit to camps to most recently with team camps. We kicked off our month of ranking updates last week with a look at the 2027 class as they head into their sophomore seasons this fall. This week, it's time to look at the 2026 class. On Monday, our 2026 rankings were updated to include the Top 125 players in the upcoming junior class. In this post, we're putting the spotlight on the linebacker position. These five are some of the top guys at the position in Oklahoma's 2026 class. Whether he's lining up as a traditional linebacker or closer to the line of scrimmage like an edge rusher, Williamson finds a way to create havoc wherever he's coming from. Williamson has the attention of college coaches in the area and it feels like only a matter of time before they pull the trigger on that first offer. Williamson has been a name to know since his freshman season and he's continuing to get better. Lujan started every game last season on defense and towards the end of the season, he would pull double duty and play running back. He had a very productive game against Santa Fe so his play on offense is something to keep an eye on. But when we've seen Lujan, whether it's on film or at one of our camps last offseason, he has really impressed on the defensive side of the ball. The Longhorn standout made a ton of plays during his freshman season and then continued to elevate his game last fall as a sophomore. When we watched DeBusk in person last season or on film, the biggest thing that stood out to us was how he did not look like he was a sophomore. And that makes sense because he's played a lot of football at this point and there isn't much that he hasn't seen. [player_tooltip player_id='1304603' first='Wade' last='McCall'] is the next name to know and that comes just a few years after Andrew became a star for Atoka and is now at Oklahoma State. We got a chance to watch Atoka last month during a team camp and he definitely passes the eye test. He was one of the more physically-impressive prospects during the two hours we were there. He does a lot of things well and we're looking forward to seeing what kind of production he has this season. [player_tooltip player_id='1045558' first='Luke' last='Quinter'] got on the field during his freshman year and immediately became an impact player for the Bethel defense. Quinter ended up becoming the team's third-leading tackler on a defense that had some studs. You look at the production that Quinter has had and it's obvious that he's a tackling machine. He's been described in the past as that "old school" linebacker and he definitely fits a similar style as other guys on this breakdown like Lujan and DeBusk. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
