is one of the more underrated two-way players returning in Class 6A-1. Offensively, he led the Millers in rushing last season and really elevated his game on that side of the ball. He finished with well over 600 yards and six touchdowns on the ground. Defensively, he also finished the season with nearly 100 tackles and led the team in that category from the linebacker position. Earlier this summer, Lujan announced his commitment to Western Colorado. This season, he has the chance to become one of unquestioned best two-way players in 6A-1.

was a player that stood out to us at one of our camps in the past and he had a solid sophomore season in 2023. Lujan would start every game for the Millers on the defensive side of the ball and he’s just one of those linebackers that loves to hit, be physical and fly all over the field. Late in the season, he also added offensive duties to what he brought to the table and started for Yukon in the final game against Edmond Santa Fe and finished with 175 yards on the ground. Whether he plays more on offense this season remains to be seen but it wouldn’t be surprising with how he finished 2023. Lujan is going to be a fun physical player to watch.

is going to be a very intriguing prospect to watch this season as the Millers look to get back to contending for a playoff spot. Lujan started every game last season on defense and towards the end of the season, he would pull double duty and play running back. He had a very productive game against Santa Fe so his play on offense is something to keep an eye on. But when we’ve seen Lujan, whether it’s on film or at one of our camps last offseason, he has really impressed on the defensive side of the ball. He’s your prototypical inside or middle linebacker that’s a tackling machine.

this time around. Last time we wrote about Lujan, he was coming off a strong showing at our prospect camp in April. Lujan also had some strong film from his sophomore season. But taking a look at his hudl, there hasn’t been an update in the first half of the season. But when it comes to Lujan as a linebacker prospect, there aren’t many that are better than this Yukon standout in the state’s 2026 class. He’s a standout on the wrestling mat and also plays rugby in the offseason. The combination of those two sports, along with football, give Lujan the tools to be a tackling machine on defense.

was one of the better linebackers in a group that was absolutely loaded and talented. Lujan is certainly a prospect that we’re going to keep an eye on this fall as the Millers work under a new head coach. Lujan could be a breakout star for Yukon this season and if that happens, he could see his status in the 2026 class go up. Lujan did a good job of moving around in space and getting from point A to point B in a hurry. But we’re looking forward to seeing the Yukon backer when the pads come on this season. He impressed in a camp setting and should perform well this fall.
