A 2028 prospect that PRZ-Oklahoma started following at the end of last season. He stood out with his compact running style and combination of speed and overall strength. This summer, Shelburn picked up his first D1 offer after standing out during a camp at Arkansas. The Razorbacks were the first to offer Shelburn and he continues to be a name to know in the state’s 2028 class. When Yukon lost their quarterback in the Edmond Santa Fe game, Shelburn answered the call, finishing with over 250 yards and five touchdowns.

is a prospect that we really liked earlier this year when we went back and watched some of his film from last fall. He’s still a prospect coming into this season that probably isn’t talked about enough considering he’s quickly emerging as one of the top 2028 running backs in the state. His recruitment has started to take off and there’s a chance that he absolutely blows up this fall. There are two reasons behind that statement. First off, once you get that first offer, there’s always a potential for it to snowball. Second, Shelburn is expected to get a much bigger workload in 2026. So he’s going to be in the spotlight much more this season.

kicks off our top newcomers as the #24 overall prospect in the latest ranking update. Shelburn was incredibly productive against 6A-1 competition during his sophomore season. That immediately got our attention. Then we put on the tape and you see a very strong, twitchy running back with a low center of gravity. And here’s what’s scary about this Yukon product moving forward, he’s just scratching the surface. When you look back at Yukon last season, they were splitting carries and now as we look ahead to the 2026 season, he’s primed for a bigger workload and what could be even more production. The combination of the film, production and competing against the top competition in Oklahoma, makes Shelburn a fun prospect to watch moving forward.
