Always my favorite position to cover, the running backs were on full display yesterday evening in Hillsborough, NJ. A balance of strength and speed across multiple classes, these RBs all showed next level skills as they went through each event. Keep a watch on these backs as we get closer to the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='910152' first='Jyvon' last='Cooper']: '27 Rahway

One of the younger backs at the camp, Jyvon walked away Saturday as the Combine's MVP for the running back position. Jyvon showed off his quick feet in the cone drills, and was able to move laterally with speed in the one on ones. With multiple seasons in his high school career left, Jyvon is sure to develop into one of the top talents in the state.

[player_tooltip player_id='1571992' first='CJ' last='Griffith']: '27 Ridge

A tall, lengthy running back, CJ is primed to become a a household name in the very near future. For his stature, CJ did a great job getting low in his cuts and showed he can accelerate through the hole immediately after the handoff. CJ has a very high ceiling, and this camp was just the beginning of what's to come.

[player_tooltip player_id='991826' first='Sylas' last='White']: '25 Boonton

One of my favorite backs in the state and one I view as extremely undervalued, Sylas excelled at each individual drill he went through. A back that can run low to the ground and change directions at the drop of a dime, Sylas is an all-around talent that needs way more recognition. If he doesn't get it this offseason, he should after programs see what kind of numbers he puts up this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='735901' first='Aidan' last='Winter']: '26 Babylon

A player I was unfamiliar with entering Saturday's combine, Aidan is a name New Yorker's must get to know. Going through drills against the linebackers, Aidan showed he can be extremely explosive out of the backfield, setting himself up to be a very dangerous pass catcher. Aidan is a do it all running back that has the potential to put up some big numbers in 2024.

Keon Kenner: '25 Pennington

Keon is a player I am going to keep a close eye on entering the 2024 season. An absolute wrecking ball of a runner, Keon not only has the frame and size to be a power back, but his 40 time (4. 59) shows that he has the speed to outrun his opponents when he gets into the open field. Keon runs with authority, and also showed great pass blocking skills as he went up against some of the best LBs at the camp. Keon has numerous D1 offers, but many more should flood through very soon.
