X-Factor Players
Tyriq Green Tyriq Green WR GA
Tyriq Green Tyriq Green WR GA
Green is a versatile player and an elite athlete. He has dozens of offers to choose from when that time comes. He is listed at 6’0 195 and is fleet-flooted for a big guy, running an 11.0 in the 100M. He still has room to add good weight in his legs, which will only add more horsepower and explosiveness to his game. He is heralded as a DB projection, but I still like his upside on the offensive side of the ball. He has the straight-line speed to explode through running lanes, which is an elite combination when paired with his ability to quickly stop and change direction. At DB, he can impact the game at all levels of the field. He is not afraid to come downhill and stick his nose in the mess of the run game, and he can also track the ball deep down the field. Either way, his instincts are off the charts and he is always in the right place at the right time. He is a technician with his feet and twitchy movements, which allows him to match and mirror anybody he lines up against. Green is a clear P4 player.
Young guys aren’t supposed to move the way Gipson does. He has been listed in the past at 5’10 200, but might be closer to 220 now. He is built like a freight-train, showing strong legs and a low center of gravity. He is a contact-seeker in space, searching for blood in the open field and jarring defenders when he lowers his shoulder. He is a bell-cow, short-yardage machine, but he has an underrated ability to change directions and create his own yards with finesse. On tape, he frequently showed that he could dodge defenders with his footwork and search for new running lanes. Gipson holds several FBS and P4 offers and has picked up several this week alone. He has a high floor and will be worth monitoring over the next few years. Look for him to potentially break the 1K yard mark this fall.
Highlights
Bryce Robinson
Bryce Robinson
Bryce Robinson is the tone-setter on the defensive front for Kell, and he stands out physically. He is listed at a stockier 6’2 255, but he carries weight well and is a people-mover. He is heavy handed and has brute strength off the charts, which allows him to push blockers into the QB to collapse the pocket. Once he wins the hand battle, he can manipulate blocks and make them look silly. He might not be the most fluid athlete, but he is explosive and can get after the QB in pursuit situations. He is still adding some lightning to his game, but he is fully equipped in the thunder department, which is something that translates across all levels.
Noteworthy Skill Players
I couldn’t get eyes on Rogan during spring ball, because he is currently trying to help Kell win a state championship in baseball. However, his sophomore tape is good and he is a speedy athlete with FBS offers under his belt, and more to come. He might not check a whole lot of size boxes at 5’10 160. However, speed is the ultimate compensator, and he has it. Rogan recently ran 10.8 in the 100M, and he is only getting faster. Creating separation against him is a constant challenge. He has the speed to stick on the hip of WRs throughout the route process, and can recover quickly. He has several INTs on tape where he just finds the ball in his hands, plucking it off the hip of WRs. When he comes downhill, he flies to the football and isn’t afraid of contact. Even with his smaller frame, I think there’s P4 upside. He is an elite baseball player as well, ranking as one of the best in the state. Watch out for him on the diamond.
Jaden George Jaden George 6’2″ | 180 lbs | WR Kell | 2025 State GA is a 6’2 fluid mover due for a breakout senior season. He holds several FBS offers, and could add more to his name before the season starts. He is an obvious matchup threat as he has the length and verticality to play above the rim. However, his ability to dance after the catch at his size is what catches my eye. He is a glider, effortlessly skating around the turf and is able to make himself even skinner to slip between would-be tacklers. It looks like he is starting to evolve into a multi-level playmaker and he is a candidate to lead Kell in receiving this fall.
Trenton Wanjogu
Trenton Wanjogu
Coaches at spring practice were raving about Wanjogu. He couldn’t play last year, but by all accounts, he has made several strides forward physically and is a prime break out candidate. The basis of intrigue around him is his size. He is listed at 6’1 190, but he is well defined and moves well. There isn’t a lot of tape out there, but he looks the part of a guy that can battle throughout the route process and reel in catches in a crowd. I will be keeping a close eye on him this fall, as will several college coaches if I had to imagine.
Brayden Rouse Brayden Rouse 6’0″ | 140 lbs | ATH GA is the Swiss army knife for Kell and could be on the verge of a massive breakout season. Rouse has played mostly WR in his career, and will continue to do so. However, he will take some reps at TE and even at LB, where he stands out. He is still on the thinner side for a LB, but there is plenty of physical development left in the tank here. He is light on his feet and plays with patient footwork. He can mirror the football out of the backfield by shuffling and can settle down in an alley against faster ball carriers. Not to mention his ability to click and quickly run to the football. I love his upside at LB and believe he can be a P4 recruit at that spot.
Jalen Williams Jalen Williams 6'0" | 165 lbs | DB Kell | 2026 State GA
Jalen Williams Jalen Williams 6'0" | 165 lbs | DB Kell | 2026 State GA
Jalen Williams Jalen Williams 6’0″ | 165 lbs | DB Kell | 2026 State GA has had himself a breakout offseason, seemingly reeling in FBS offers every other day. Williams is an athletic, proportional CB with competitive size at 6’0 165. Last season, at Dutchtown, he played with an edge you could feel through the screen, always remaining in the picture during physical plays and frequently rising up to attack the football, even against receivers bigger than him. He has fine footwork and speed, but the fluidity in his hips is where he shines. He can turn and run with anyone on the field and can snap from one direction to another to stick on underneath routes. He is tough to separate against and is competitive against the ball as long as he has a chance of making a play on it.
Noteworthy Trench Players
Kell always seems to have undersized, yet super disruptive defensive linemen. Natt perfectly fits that description. Natt, a rising senior, is a lightning fast pursuer of the football and overwhelms blockers with his explosiveness off the line. Before blockers can even get fully set, it seems that Natt has already made it to their chest and is starting to bend around the edge. He isn’t the most fluid player, but he has enough dexterity to change directions and finish around the QB. Natt might eventually slide out to DE at the next level. Either way, he should be a highly valued late addition for some smaller schools looking to raise the floor of their pass rush.
David Torres
David Torres
Torres, a rising senior, is one of the leaders on the Kell offensive front and brings plenty of valuable experience into his senior season. His junior tape is flashy, exhibiting impressive speed and mobility for a big guy. He is listed at 6’3 265, carrying his weight well and has room to add more mass. He is quick off the ball and out of his stance, allowing him to spill to edge defenders and pull to the second level. From there, he is light-footed enough to settle down and play with patient hands. He shows impact-style blocking potential on tape, de-cleating smaller defenders and leaving destruction in his path. I like the junior tape here and believe he is a real sleeper.
QB Battle
Kell is in the process of replacing multi-year starter and prolific playmaker Bryce Clavon Bryce Clavon 5'11" | 185 lbs | QB Kell | 2024 State GA at QB. There are two QBs right now seemingly leading the race. Those two are 2026 Landon Garretson Landon Garretson 5'11" | 175 lbs | QB Kell | 2026 State GA and 2026 Kaleb Narcisse Kaleb Narcisse 5'11" | 185 lbs | QB GA . Garretson was a backup last year, waiting in the wings. From the looks of it, he has vastly cleaned up his mechanics and throws a smoother ball. He was vocal at practice, taking charge of the QB room. The upside for Narcisse is notable. He is a good athlete with some arm talent. He also happens to be rated as one of the highest-rated pitchers in Georgia for the 2026 class. Either way, with the plethora of playmakers around the QB, Kell can win with both and both could get varsity reps this fall.
