A nightmare to defend when cutting across the field, drags, digs, ins, Colwell can provide a big window for Fontanez to throw into, all the while maintaining his speed through traffic. 7v7 performances aside, Colwell's a name that should be picking up steam in recruiting. That being said, I still came away pleased with his play at 215+ pounds. A mix of safety and backer reps, Brandn Lockley proved he could keep up with much smaller wideouts and running backs that he matched up with. Well trained at safety, I was able to witness Lockley recognize route concepts in real-time, breaking and making things difficult for wideouts on his half of the field. Saw him cover wheels from the backfield, saw Lockley stay with targets running to the flat. I learned Lockley's labbing and growth behind the scenes have not hindered his athletic ability, especially his movement skills. I had about 90+ total top performers, I couldn't keep Fontanez out of this list considering how well he performed during both days at Coatesville. A shame we didn't get to see Fontanez perform against CTPrime or Wingmen's defense during the playoffs of this event, Fontanez did nothing but make correct read after correct read. His program was DQ'd for a petty rule break, yet understandable from both sides. Fontanez led DA to four wins through the Two-Day event, losing just one of the five games played in total. I came away impressed. Learned a few things about his mental-makeup too.
