Johnson consistently won reps, separating from DBs with his gait alone, even if he wasn’t seeing the football. The senior still reeled in multiple TDs throughout the event, catching my eye finally early Sunday morning. All of this, tack on his prowess at S. A recent top performer for Syracuse Elite at the PrepRedzone 7v7 tournament in the 18u division Johnson has an elite frame with equally impressive athleticism. Johnson can track the ball down the field and make plays and showcases the route running ability to create seperation on more than just go routes and deep post routes. Johnson has some two-way potential at the next level but with more consistency can become one of the most dangerous athletes in the Northeast-10.

Johnson is a really good runner who runs a complete route tree. Johnson is really solid at beating press coverage with a solid release and his long frame showcases a large catch radius. Johnson does a really good job of getting the ball secured and getting upfield for extra yards. Johnson’s best plays come on in-breaking routes where he uses his size to create leverage on defenders making him very tough to guard. Johnson is also really good at adjusting his routes when the QB is forced to improvise out of the pocket and does a great job of understanding where the open space available is.
