is one of the most underrated wide receivers in this class. His speed and athleticism are elite. His ability to run by defenders and make big plays is impressive. He is great on deep balls where he can run by defenders or has the size to catch 50/50 balls. He makes difficult catches look easy. As a safety, he is also a good player. His ability to make a play on the ball when thrown in his direction is excellent. Shepps is a talented player who can do it all on the football field. He should be in the mix to play College Football after next season, the sky’s the limit for him.
Regular season 2024!! Great team year. Prepping for D6 championship next week. Check these out!! @PRZPAvic @EdOBrienCFB @AveryHawkins @EugeneHankerson @PaFootballNews @footballcoach79 @CoachKC_44 https://t.co/CcTa6vv2OH

picked up his first scholarship offer, this coming out of Mansfield University. I applaud the Mounties for scouting, identifying, and pulling the trigger on an offerless junior who is projected to outpace the D3 scene. Good on the program for attempting to build a relationship with a prospect who would serve as a potential crown jewel of a recruiting class.

two-day performance. Shepps provided Corkery and Detruf with consistent hands that could (and did) come down with tough contested catches downfield. I have at least three difficult catches reeled in by Shepps, all three of which Shepps was draped over by a defender. Shepps’ play won’t be overshadowed. Fantastic second option on the boundaries with Domo Diaz running opposite of him. Happy to see him have a good weekend against serious competition.

Shepps led all 2026 receivers this past fall according to MaxPreps with 71 receptions for 1,379 yards and 13 touchdowns. The next closest receiver had 536 fewer receiving yards.Ranked as an athlete, Shepps has good size at 6 feet 1 inch and 170 pounds, to go along with excellent athleticism, speed, and footwork. He epitomizes a big-play threat, with the consistent ability to make impactful plays.

is someone I recently wrote about whose film I was blown away by. His film is electric as he makes plays all over the field for Juniata. Well at the showcase Shepps proved that his film was no fluke. He was one of the best-performing wide receivers at the camp. He ran an impressive 4.78 and a 4.56 shuttle time. This is an impressive number for someone standing 6’1 inches tall. Shepps runs good routes, catches the ball well in coverage, and has excellent speed after the catch. Shepps should only improve going into his Junior season.

on our site. Recently ranked inside the top 100, tough to do when debuting on our site. Next, the Juniata sophomore shows up to camp and earns 1st-Team All-Camp honors. His stock couldn’t be higher right now. More coming later in the week.

Question: Not a secret anymore, what’s his ceiling in terms of recruitment?
Working out of Juniata, it’s an uphill battle getting noticed. Shepps did that with an incredible sophomore campaign and tape, he’s no longer a secret or hidden gem. Shepps is now squarely in the mix with some of the best two-way athletes in his class. A top 100 debut, Shepps isn’t going to catch anyone off guard or by surprise, so what’s his recruiting ceiling? A huge deciding factor will be how he tests in front of college coaches. How fast will he run? Can he compete with the best? I’m excited to have those answers after watching him perform tomorrow night. My ranking has him beside other Division One prospects, we’ll see if I was too generous.

Jasper Shepp’s film is some of the best plays I have seen all year. The 1st play was a deep pass where he out-jumped a defender for a touchdown in the end zone. The 2nd play was a fake punt where he sprinted 90 yards for a touchdown. Shepps is a big play every time he touches the ball. He had another fake punt he took for a touchdown as well. Shepps isn’t the fastest guy, but he is tall and does a great job making contested catches. He is like a basketball player going up for an alley-up and high-pointing the ball every time. Shepps is a talented player to check out going forward.
