Continue ReadingJabin remains at #1 in this Quarterback Class. He has phenomenal playmaking ability for his age, especially with his legs. You can of course succeed while being a pro-style quarterback, but being able to make plays with your legs adds a whole other dimension to the offense. Jabin also has well above-average arm talent, throw power, and shows some ability to place the ball and throw with touch. Jabin will remain the #1 quarterback until someone else proves otherwise.
Highlights
Duke is the highest-ranked pro-style Quarterback in this class. I’m not sure when he’ll end up being the full-time Varsity starter, but he seems to be well on his way. Duke is ranked so high largely because of his ability to scan the field and throw the football to all parts of the field. He doesn’t seem to favor one side or neglect the middle of the field like some quarterbacks do. He needs to improve his arm strength, throw power, and his fundamentals, but I’m confident that the DCC staff will give him every opportunity to succeed.
Jack is an ultra-rare small school gem of a Quarterback. He can ball as a freshman. He’s already way ahead of the curve when it comes to his fundamentals, accuracy, and IQ. Jack could be a special quarterback in this class if he puts in the effort required to earn it. Watch his film if you haven’t already because it’s extremely impressive.

Landon Hall Landon Hall 6’2″ | 190 lbs | QB Lakeshore | 2027 State MI is another pro-style quarterback who’s already way ahead of the curve and could end up being a special player. He has a great fundamental foundation. Feet and throwing motion can undergo minor improvements but overall he looks good. Accuracy is good. Solid timing on out routes. He’ll be a QB to keep a very close eye on.
Highlights
Grayson is going to be a good varsity quarterback. How good? Time will tell. I’ve watched Grayson enough to feel great about his playmaking ability, fundamentals, and accuracy. He’s mainly a pro-style passer, but can use his legs to make plays when he has to. He’s good at reading the field and sometimes throws with great touch. I am extremely excited to see him be the full-time starter for Kenowa Hills in the newly formed River Cities Alliance.
Highlights
James is someone who I liked on film, but truly impressed me in person. At Legacy a few months ago, James proved that he can make any throw to any part of the field. He knows how to read the field in a 7on7 setting and can throw an accurate ball to any part of the field. He also got the ball out quite quickly. I know that James is also quite athletic, so that should add another dimension to his game. Excited to see how he ends up developing in the coming years.
Highlights
I am extremely confident that Bryce will end up being a highly productive Varsity Quarterback for Caledonia, probably during the 2025 season. His film proves that he’s able to run the Caledonia offense with good efficiency. He had a bit of an off day when I watched him at Legacy a few months ago, but I saw the flashes even there. Still, I like his fundamentals and throwing motion, and I am extremely optimistic about Bryce’s development.
Highlights
Samson is extremely raw as a Quarterback, but as an athlete, he’s amazing. He doesn’t have a ton of throws on tape, but his few throws still show some promise. Samson is an amazing open-field player, and he gets a lot of his work done scrambling outside of the pocket and taking off. Once he becomes a runner past the line of scrimmage, he has good speed, and elusiveness. If he wants to be East Kentwood’s starting varsity QB, he’s going to have to vastly overhaul his throwing ability.
Highlights
It’s not common for Coldwater to have a great quarterback, but Dracyn can develop into that. Last season as the Varsity starter, he showed off good pro-style play. He has a decent arm and can read the field way better than most freshman QBs. Though, he needs to work on his overall fundamentals and throw power. More reps and time in the weight room should do the trick.
Highlights
Gannon has a longer highlight tape than most freshman quarterbacks, and he shows a nice foundation. He’s a pro-style quarterback through and through. Good at standing in the pocket, making a read, and getting the ball out on time. He also has a few throws outside the pocket. He really needs to grow (literally and skill-wise) before he makes strides on Varsity. Looking forward to seeing how he develops, and I think he could be a great QB in the Lakes Area.
