Gannon had a really good showing the 1 on 1 portion of the day, but his explosiveness was on full display during testing. He ran the best 40-time of the day at 4.6, and matched it with a solid 9’3 broad jump. You could see all day long that he was one of the quickest and springiest athletes on the field. He was a nightmare to try and guard, and his hands were on point. We already have him as the #9 ATH in his class, but this performance could give him a significant boost.
Gannon has a longer highlight tape than most freshman quarterbacks, and he shows a nice foundation. He’s a pro-style quarterback through and through. Good at standing in the pocket, making a read, and getting the ball out on time. He also has a few throws outside the pocket. He really needs to grow (literally and skill-wise) before he makes strides on Varsity. Looking forward to seeing how he develops, and I think he could be a great QB in the Lakes Area.
Gannon is a very raw prospect at this moment. He was a JV quarterback this past fall, but a good one at that. He has decent arm talent and shows a lot of general promise. He is at the bottom of the rankings, and he’s ranked because I’m optimistic about his opportunity to grow and get some good varsity playing time in the Lakes Valley conference.
