With that being said, I wanted to highlight some players at each position that deserve and are still seeking their first college offer. After already covering the offensive side of the ball, I will now turn my attention to the defensive side of the ball, starting with some defensive linemen in the class of 2025 in the state of Kentucky that still need offers.
Xsavier Cleary Xsavier Cleary 6’1″ | 275 lbs | DL Paducah Tilghman | 2025 State KY is a player that has been on my radar for a while now and continued to impress this past season. Cleary lines up at defensive tackle where he is dominant against the run. He uses his spend and strength to his ability to fight through blocks and get to the ball carrier in a hurry to make tackles in the open field. Xsavier finished this past season with 55 tackles and 10 tackles for loss in 14 games. I expect that first offer to come his way soon as he has received a solid amount of college interest and definitely has the talent to play at the next level.
Highlights
Javeon Dorsey Javeon Dorsey DL Louisville Male | 2025 State KY is another defensive lineman that had been on my radar for a while now and continued to stand out this past season. Dorsey lines up at defensive tackle where he is very disruptive against the run. He explodes out of his stance and uses his speed and high motor to get to the ball carrier to make the tackle before they can get going. Dorsey finished this past season with 48 tackles and 11 tackles for loss in 12 games. He also showed the ability to use his speed and pass rush moves to put pressure on the quarterback, finishing the year with three sacks. Dorsey hasn’t reported any college interest but he is a player that coaches should keep any eye on heading into his senior year.
Amare Black Amare Black 6’0″ | 225 lbs | DL Union Counry | 2025 State KY is a player that jumped onto my radar with an impressive junior year. Black lines up at defensive end where he is a very dangerous pass rusher. He has shown the ability to use his speed, along with some very impressive pass rush moves, to get to the quarterback. Black finished this past season with 8.5 sacks in 13 games. He also showed the ability to stop the run, finishing the season with 107 tackles and seven tackles for loss. Amare hasn’t reported any college interest but should be a player for coaches to keep an eye on heading into his final season.

My final defensive lineman in this series is Tre Jackson Tre Jackson 6’2″ | 235 lbs | DL Mayfield | 2025 State KY from Mayfield. Jackson lines up at defensive tackle where he is very impressive against the run. He does a great job of using his strength to fight through blocks on his way to the ball carrier and is a very reliable open field tackler once he gets there. Jackson finished this past season with 66 tackles in 14 games. He also showed some ability as a pass rusher, finishing the season with five sacks. I wouldn’t be surprised to see some offers come his way soon as he has already started receiving some college interest.
