Continue ReadingDa’Ron Barksdale Da’Ron Barksdale 5’10” | 175 lbs | ATH Steel Valley | 2026 State PA is a dynamic athlete who could play a ton of positions on the field. He primarily played as a defensive back for Steel Valley last year. The 1st play in his film shows his playmaker ability. He stripped the ball carrier and then raced to the end zone for a touchdown. Barksdale plays like a linebacker from his defensive back position. He is a physical tough tackler. He also shows good ball skills by breaking on the ball and making pass breakups. On offense, he played as a wildcat quarterback on designed QB runs and he played as a running back. He flashed an athletic ability to make defenders miss and then has legit speed to run by defenders. Barksdale is one of the best athletes in the 2026 class and was recently offered by Bowling Green.
Josiah Collins Josiah Collins 6’2″ | 215 lbs | DL Westinghouse | 2026 State PA is a dynamic athlete who plays defensive end for Westinghouse. He is an unblockable force at the defensive line. He has a great 1st step off the ball. Collins explodes off the ball and offensive linemen struggle to try to block him. He uses his hands well to engage and get off the blocks off offensive lineman. Collins also has good pass-rush moves to create pressure on quarterbacks. Collins is a talented defensive lineman who has all the tools to get even better. He recently picked up an offer from the University of Miami (Ohio).
Brandon Truszkowski Brandon Truszkowski 6’7″ | 300 lbs | OL Germantown Academy | 2026 State PA is a massive human being standing 6’7″ inches tall. At both offensive and defensive lines, he shows a good ability to play both positions. At offensive line, he moves his feet well and does a nice job run blocking. He also showed a good ability to pass block by moving his feet against defensive lineman. At defensive line, Truszkowski shows a good motor and does a nice job coming up field to make plays in the backfield. Truszkowski is a talented lineman on both sides of the ball.
Highlights
Matt Furda Matt Furda 6’0″ | 180 lbs | ATH William Penn Charter | 2026 State PA played as a defensive back and wide receiver for William Penn Charter. As a defensive back, he shows good coverage skills. He does a good job of playing in a deep zone, and then playing the ball when thrown his direction. Furda also does a good job in run support by coming up field to make tackles in the open field. As a wide receiver, he showed a good ability to run good routes and catch the ball well in traffic. Furda showed good skills at both positions and should only improve going into next season.
Naquan Thomason
Naquan Thomason
Naquan Thomason is a talented running back in the 2027 class. He does a good job of hitting the hole and making defenders miss. He has good speed and when he gets into the open field, he has the speed to run by defenders. Thomason also has a physical running style that is tough for defenders to tackle. He also showed a good ability to provide pass protection for the quarterbacks when they go back to pass. Thomason is a good prospect at running back.
Zion McKinney
Zion McKinney
Zion McKinney played quarterback at the Junior Varsity level last year for Northampton. I listed him as an athlete because he can play a lot of positions on the football field. At quarterback, he showed off a ton of running skills. He is good on designed run calls where he finds an opening and runs well. When he runs the ball, he turns into a tough and physical runner who is hard to bring down. He is also good at designed sprint out passing plays by throwing on the run. On a few of his pass plays McKinney does do a nice job of setting his feet and throwing the ball. McKinney is a good athlete that should find a home next year on Varsity.
