Today, we take a look at the team that nearly beat them in the championship, Tribe, out of southeastern Pennsylvania. I won’t lie, as I was going through looking at the rosters prior to the event, I underestimated this Tribe program.
That being said, throughout the weekend, they were locked in, came to play, and were one of the best teams from start to finish – it was a very impressive effort from top to bottom and the program as a whole, coaches and players should be proud of their efforts this weekend.
Unlike AIT, Tribe’s 15U team was full of prospects that were getting a quality look at for the first time as athletes as many played freshman football this past fall.
Brett Pollock – 2027 Quarterback
Pollock was a quarterback who immediately jumped out to me on Saturday when watching the Tribe. As he continues to fill out and get bigger, I’m excited to see how he continues to develop when it comes to his arm strength. That being said, on Saturday, he proved to be an accurate quarterback and a smart one. He takes what the defense gives him most of the time but he also has the ability to place the ball into some tighter windows as well, an impressive skill for a younger quarterback. Pollock also has quality, clean mechanics. I didn’t see any major hitches in his mechanics that would be worrisome going forward, plenty of room for growth with him going forward.
Jaeden Thenor Jaeden Thenor 5'6" | 130 lbs | ATH Conwell-Egan | 2027 PA – 2027 Wide Receiver/Defensive Back
Another player that immediately caught my attention was Thenor, he was in my opinion, Tribe’s most dynamic playmaker but they had quite a few so at the same time, they didn’t have to solely rely on him either. He showed off his skills both as a wide receiver and defensive back and plays bigger than his reported size thanks to plus athleticism. Can be quite explosive in space and shows great ball skills. Really intrigued to see what the Conwell-Egan prospect can do going forward.
Alex Whitcomb Alex Whitcomb 5'10" | 150 lbs | WR Souderton | 2027 PA – 2027 Wide Receiver
Whitcomb had a solid weekend for Tribe on both sides of the ball as well and was productive in the process. He already has some quality size though we didn’t get measurables. He was a smooth athlete and is a natural wide receiver both in the way he plays the position but also as a pass catcher, strong hands. There was one play specifically on Saturday in which he ran a simple go route and his athleticism was enough for him to get pretty open while Pollock placed a pass perfectly in his breadbasket for a touchdown. He earned his way not only into this article but onto our radar going forward.
