N-Kye has always been someone with insane potential. During his Sophomore season, he went through some growing pains but had flashes of some great performances. Recently, the Power 5 offers have been swarming in, and I had to dive a little deeper into his film. Long story short, N-Kye showed considerable improvement from sophomore to junior year. His two games against De La Salle stick out in particular, as I remember him struggling quite a bit against them early in his high school career, but last year, he handled top competition better. He’s more under control and comfortable. His size is elite, and he’s apart of the most elite O-Line group in Michigan. N-Kye jumps about 20 spots and squeaks into the top 5!
Ethan is another lineman I haven’t examined in depth in quite a while. Early in his career, I had a high D2 evaluation on him. Since his freshman season, he’s grown a bit and has gotten significantly better in several areas. Heritage runs an air-raid type of offense, and because of that, Ethan is well-rounded as a run and pass blocker. A big jump for Ethan, as I expect many more D1 offers soon.
Yup, a lot of O-Line risers in this update. I had starred Spencer and actually ranked him very high when he first joined the rankings. If I’m not mistaken, he joined the rankings before his first Varsity snap, I saw the potential with his size alongside what I know about Stoney Creek’s OL development. He’s finally taken off during his Junior season and has earned the college attention I thought he would.
I took a good look at the stacked WR group in the rankings, and this position got shaken up a bit. Braylen is an extremely well-rounded and versatile receiver. Want him to run a deep post? He’ll track it down. Want him to block? He’ll lay someone out. Want him to get some YAC? He’ll make it happen. I’m happy to see him get some High D2 – MAC attention, and I firmly believe Braylon should be a Division 1 prospect.
Highlights
Colin was the talk of the state for a while last fall. Northville as a whole took a big step up last season, and Colin was a huge part of that. He’s another receiver who’s versatile and can make things happen in the open field. He’s one of the best return men in Michigan and can turn the tide of a game with his route running and playmaking.
