The offseason is officially here and for the third consecutive year, we’ll have a special series from now until the end of May. It’s the Friday Film Review series and every Friday, we’ll take a look at prospects from all over the state. We’ll break down their film from last season. What stands out about the prospect, what can they improve, how do they project, all of those questions answered in these breakdowns. As we say each year, these aren’t just puff pieces. The majority of the review is positive but we also get into what can be improved for each individual prospect. Keep it locked in to Prep Redzone Oklahoma each Friday for another Film Review!

And we’ve written this a few times but we talked with his head coach during his sophomore season and he told us he wasn’t sure what Mcadoo was, meaning position. About 18 months later and we still have no idea. The one thing we know for sure is that he’s a football player and he can play at the next level. As a junior, Mcadoo had plays on film as a running back, wide receiver, safety, punter and kick returner. This past weekend, the Tuttle standout was at our camp and worked out at wide receiver. We could see him being on offense or defense in college. He’s an absolute athlete. In basketball terms, he can “leap out of the gym” and it’s impressive to see. He’s very strong and uses that upper body strength to throw defenders to the turf. He has a strong cutting ability and combining that with the strength and you have one of the better players with the ball in his hands. But whenever we think about Mcadoo as a prospect, we keep going back to that first question. If we had to pick one position moving forward, we’re leaning to safety but the story is certainly not done with this standout.

Simon plays on both sides of the ball for the Bulldogs and after checking out his film and watching him in action on offense and defense, we’re leaning to the offensive side of the ball for Simon as a prospect. Working mostly at guard during his junior season, Simon showed really good balance and strength. Those were the first two attributes that jumped out at us while watching. With Simon’s size, he certainly projects to being more of an interior lineman at the next level. Whether that’s center or guard, that’s up for debate. The majority of his film was at guard. We also liked Simon’s ability to attack defenders and he always hits first. But he doesn’t rush it, he has good patience and technique and then punishes his opponent. One thing we would like to see from Simon moving forward is to work on his driving. He’s an absolute force when he wants to be and he always hits first, but we want to see him finishing off those blocks and driving through his opponent. As he works on that and his overall quickness, he’ll be an offensive lineman that has a chance when this fall rolls around.
Film Watched – CLICK HERE rnUnion 2025 running back Jordan Schelling Jordan Schelling 5’10” | 215 lbs | RB Union | 2025 State OK moved from rival Jenks during the summer last year and provided an instant spark for the Redhawks on offense. Schelling finished his junior season putting up some solid numbers and also dealt with nagging injuries but still was able to produce. When we put on the tape from last fall, the first thing that really stands out is his ability to explode out of the backfield. Schelling is your typical running back where the phrase “shot out of a cannon” comes up because he gets the ball and he absolutely rockets himself through the line of scrimmage. Once Schelling gets to the second level, he has the moves and strength to handle linebackers and defensive backs in one on one situations. He rarely gets brought down by one defender. And when Schelling is being brought down, he seems to always be falling forward, fighting for extra yards and rarely getting pushed backwards. Schelling also runs with purpose. He has the ability to make moves in the open field but the goal is always going north and south. An underrated quality is his hands and he showcased that a few times. As he continues to get faster and work on his breakaway speed, he’ll be one of the better backs in Tulsa.

Miller moved to Moore from Edmond Santa Fe, won the QB1 job and had a strong junior season. It was cut short at the end with an injury but we liked what we saw last fall and are fired up to see what he looks like in 2024. Watching Miller on film, you see a terrific athlete in the backfield that doesn’t just lean on his athletic ability like a crutch. Miller always keeps his eyes down field and is trying to torch defenses with his arm before tucking the ball and taking off. And Miller has an absolute rocket launcher attached to his shoulder. One of the first few passes on his junior tape was a 60-yard bomb in the end zone. Miller has good vision and anticipation and that helps make him one of the better dual-threat quarterbacks in the state. As a passer, he anticipates what the defense is doing and puts the ball where his receiver is going to be. As a runner, he has excellent vision downfield and it was rare that defenses got a clean shot on him. It’s very clear watching him that he has some very natural abilities. If Miller continues to progress like he did last fall, his recruitment should take off.

Del City loses a lot of firepower off their team that made it to the state title game. They are going to need some new pieces to step up. After watching Green on film and in person a few times in 2023, we think he certainly has what it takes to be an impact player and see his production go up. Green primarily worked last fall as a slot receiver and running back. One thing that really stood out about his abilities as a wide receiver is his hands. There were a few plays where he got absolutely leveled as he made the catch but he still brought the ball in. He absorbs the contact and doesn’t let himself get separated from the ball. Another thing that really stood out was his IQ as a runner. If Green has a convoy, he waits for that blocker to make a play and allow himself to get a few extra yards without getting into trouble. And that comes from really good vision. Green was able to also have a role on special teams and made plays in that department as well. The Del City speedster will have to overcome questions about his size. But there is a lot of potential there for Green to be a breakout player in the Del City offense.
