Manny is a freshman safety for Brother Rice HS. The 5’7″ 150 lbs athlete showed on tape that he is a reliable tackler who will attack downhill against the run, and knows how to get bigger athletes on the ground. Jaylen quickly found his way onto the varsity field in his freshman season. The DB has a solid frame that has plenty of time to continue to grow. Jaylen is a natural athlete who transitions out of his backpedal efficiently. He is an agile athlete who can accelerate out of changes in direction. The young DB is also showing off excellent versatility. He had success at safety, reading and reacting to the QB. There was also plenty of impressive clips of him at CB, turning and running with WRs and breaking up passes. Jaylen is at a great starting point in his career and development. McMiller has a bright future ahead of him.

The 6′ 210 lbs LB is a dude in the middle of the Wheaton Academy defense. The freshman has some varsity experience already, and didn’t look out of place at a position that requires strength, instincts, and physicality. Logan has a great base of all three of those traits. You see him take on blocks and quickly shed them with power. He has a quick closing burst that turns into hit power on contact. Logan also does a great job of mirroring the path of the RB, leading to him meeting them right in the hole for little to no gain. Check out the tape and keep an eye on the freshman.

Grabinski did miss some time due to injury during his freshman season, but the 6’1″ 180 lbs QB made some impressive plays showing off his traits. In the short to intermediate levels Jackson is able to drive the football to his target on a rope. We saw him get passes off while off platform. Jackson is also a poised passer who will stand in the pocket or face pressure outside the pocket, set his feet, and get the ball out just before taking the hit. Take a look at the tape to get a quick sense of the freshman’s talent.

Johnsburg HS has a noteworthy freshman WR to know. The 5’9″ 165 lbs WR is a quick, twitchy athlete with explosive short area burst/acceleration. Ryan is quick off the line, and able to make CBs miss when trying to jam him. From there he is able to stack the corner and open up separation. Ryan also has reliable hands that can secure the catch in traffic. The cherry on top is that he was an effective, strong blocker out wide. Keep an eye on the freshman WR. He has tools that will make him a problem for DBs.
