I am back to begin another round of that adventure. We begin with Perry County. Within the county are Pinckneyville Community HS and Duquoin HS. Both schools have less than 500 students in them, so you might not expect a large group of talent. While the list isn’t long, there are three athletes that deserve the spotlight because of their talent to be potential college recruits. Let’s get into their tape here.
Joseph Gualemi
Joseph Gualemi
The first athlete from Perry County who caught my eyes was DE Joseph Gualemi. The 2025 has a solid frame to continue to build on at 6’3″ 215 lbs. The tape is exciting to watch. Joseph has a strong base of traits for the edge position. He can burst out of his stance quickly and turn it into power as soon as he makes contact. Joseph has shown he can get hands inside and win with leverage to bull rush opponents. The long athlete also has shown solid body control and bend to dip underneath OTs while running the loop to the QB. Gualemi also navigates traffic well, especially on runs towards his edge. The junior has solid hand strength to pair with the consistent usage and placement of them. The 2025 is a talented prospect that more need to know about.
Jamison Sizemore Jamison Sizemore IL

Another under the radar talent in the Class of 2025 from Perry County is Jamison Sizemore Jamison Sizemore IL . The 6′ 250 lbs center is a name for D3 programs to check out. The junior has a solid anchor to set a strong, secure pocket for his QB. He also has some nimble feet to be able to pull or skip pull and lead through a gap up to level two. Lastly, the junior does a good job of being the lower man in his battles with DTs. You consistently see his helmet below the chin of his opponent. Check out the tape below.
Tyler McConnell
Tyler McConnell
A third prospect to know from Perry county is an impressive looking freshman WR/TE/OLB. Tyler checks in at an impressive 6’4″ 195 lbs and there is so much room for that frame to add more muscle. As a freshman, Tyler was able to get experience playing out wide and inline where he was able to develop his release game vs DBs and LBs. He showed enough vertical speed to be able to attack up the seam. McConnell has strong hands that have led to highlight reel catches in traffic. On defense, the freshman won with his elite length and solid speed off the edge plus agility to make blockers miss in space. His play on the edge will take a massive jump as he gets stronger. Keep an eye on the freshman as he prepares for his sophomore season.
