He is more of a pocket passer than a runner although he can scramble and extend plays with his legs. His release is smooth and some of his film is from a drone or endzone cam and you can see he makes the right reads a lot of the time.
Abdul-Aziz could improve his accuracy a bit and sometimes he takes unnecessary risks with the ball. He hasn’t gotten his first offer yet but his frame and footwork make him an appealing prospect.
Fahey split time at quarterback for Mission Viejo this season and steadily improved throughout the season.
The ball jumps out of his hands and he knows when to fire the ball in there and when to put some touch on it. He’s a better athlete than he gets credit for and makes defenses have to respect his ability to scramble for big yardage.
Fahey led Mission Viejo to a State Championship and since then he has picked up four offers from Arkansas, San Diego State, SMU and Cal.
Roth had a nice sophomore season for La Costa Canyon with over 2,200 yards and 19 touchdowns.
He is extremely effective as an off-platform thrower and his upper body mechanics are the same on pocket passes and when rolling out. His pocket awareness is good and he keeps his eyes on the secondary when facing pressure.
The weight room will be his friend this offseason and he needs to fill out a bit, but he has the tools to be a Division 1 college quarterback.
Beaver had a breakout year for Vista Murrieta with 232 yards per game, 26 touchdowns and just seven interceptions.
He isn’t a dual threat guy, but he likes to leave the pocket to buy time for plays to develop. His ball placement on throws outside the numbers is good and his arm strength is solid.
Sometimes he eyes down his primary target but more playing time will fix that. Beaver is still seeking his first offer but he has size and athleticism.
