Expert Analysis
Michael Huntley | Prep Redzone Scout
Beaver completed 65 percent of hispasses for 1753 yards with 18 touchdowns and two rushing touchdowns in 10 games for Vista Murrieta this season.
He was impressive throwing off-platform with zip on the ball at the Elite 11 finals this summer and that skill translates on film. Beaver is an aggressive passer who takes some risks with the ball but is a good anticipatory thrower. He is signed with Oregon.

Beaver is another guy who didn’t have a strong night one but shined in the Accuracy Challenge and in 7-on-7. He has serious zip on the shorter throws and makes quick reads effectively. Beaver looks more built than when I last saw him and was one of the better uncommitted quarterbacks at the event.

Beaver isn’t the highest-profile quarterback at the camp but was solid on night one and really impressed during the Accuracy Challenge. The uncommitted QB scored a 58 in the Accuracy Challenge and turned some heads.

was already mentioned in the “Sunshine Classic 18U First Day Standout Quarterbacks” article, but I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention just how highly I thought of his performance. In my opinion, he played the best quarterback of anyone at the entire event. His ability to quickly and correctly dissect defenses stood out in every single game. He’s got a nice arm and strong mechanics, but what really separated him was what he has between the ears; his football IQ. He threw well-timed deep shots, moved through progressions with ease, and knew exactly where and when he could make certain throws. It was a clinic. If there was one quarterback who truly commanded the field, it was Beaver.

After an impressive junior season the Vista Murrieta QB made a big jump in the updated 2026 state rankings. At 6’3” 195 lbs. he’s a pure passer that checks a lot of boxes for the D1 level combining his size, athleticism, and arm talent. He’s got a live arm with a smooth and consistent throwing motion. The release is quick and compact and uses good rotation in his hips and shoulders to drive the ball. Efficient footwork in his drop back he shows proper weight transfer and good balance throughout. Shows he can make all the necessary throws by pushing the ball vertically with touch and trajectory or throw it on a line to the boundary. He’s accurate and puts the ball in a spot for his receivers to make an easy catch and run after the catch. A plus athlete that can escape pressure and make plays with his legs when he needs too. Threw for 3,214 yards with 33 touchdowns this season. Picked up his initial offer from Northern Arizona over the summer but will add more.
